Cemair

Will be flying from Hoedspruit to Cape Town and one of the options is Cemair. Has anyone flown on them?

Helen

I will be interested to see what the replies are to your post. This must be a new flight and is significantly cheaper than the alternative flight with SAA Express. It's also quicker. The SAA Express flight is on a prop plane.

Have used them on the Plettenberg Bay to Cape Town route a few times. Private airline, and I've found them very reliable. Generally are more expensive.

Some competition is great news! The return CPT-HDS flight can be nearly as much as a U.K-CPT flight! Also good to hear your positive experience with them

Yes, Cemair recently announced they are starting flights to Hoedspruit from both Jo'Burg and Cape Town. It is great to have more options.

Apologies for bumping an old thread. I'm due to fly with Cemair in a few weeks and wonder if anyone has any experience of whether they enforce the 6kg limit on hand bagge strictly? I have some camera gear in my nad luggage which is not bulky but quite heavy. Thanks in advance.

The details are a little less shocking than the announcement suggests:

But it still makes us wonder.. Are the people in charge just not paying enough attention?

Thanks to Steven V for the heads up. Holding statements only from Cemair at present (understandable as it is the weekend). If there is no resolution by midweek I guess its back to SAA!
