I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, the waitress brought me a sesame chicken salad. I told her what I had actually ordered and asked if they could send the sesame salad back. My waitress acted like she was not going to bring me the correct salad and take the sesame salad back. She then came back to ask me if she could give me the sesame salad in a box. I explained I am allergic to sesame, this is why I could not eat it. Then her manager came over and talked to me and tried to make me take the salad too. Then the waitress kept eyeing our table and talking to coworkers periodically throughout dinner. —- So I am wondering, is this a common thing that it may be rude to send back something? Is it because they don’t want to waste the food? Is it because there is a different protocol between managers and staff at a restaurant than there is in the states ? I am curious because it was a very bizarre experience .
