Where to Buy World Cup memorabilia

Hi there,

I will be spending 36 hours in Bloemfontein on a business visit the first week of July, transiting via J'burg airport. No matches at Free State stadium that week, but am looking to pick up some World Cup memorabilia for the kids (scarves, pennants, badges etc.) along the way. What would be my best bet? What's the best way to get around? Is it better to just get them at the airport stores?

Thanks!

In Durban they have the Fifa memorabilia shop at the main beach front fan zone so pretty sure this will be true of Bloem, but if you don't come right the airports will definitely have. Some of the major chain stores in all cities also have t-shirts, jackets etc. Edgars and woolworths stores to mention a couple.

There's likely to be a lot of discarded England WC stuff blowing around the streets of Blom for a few weeks..;)

Lots in Jo'burg airport.

If you are near the petrol stations one just outside Bloem had loads but can't remember the name.

Also street vendors but FIFA keep them away from the stadiums.

It should be easy to find and probably on sale then.

Thanks for the replies. ROFL England....be interesting to visit the scene of the carnage.

Probably pick a few things up on my way from Jo'burg airport. Am staying at the Anta Boga, any street vendors in the vicinity?

Exactly. If they don't have what you want tell them you'll be back later and they will.

Thanks for the replies. First time to SA, and a really short visit only, but chuffed all the same.
