We will be staying in Tamarindo. Are taxi's convenient for local transportation? Buses? We don't want to rent a car.
There are plenty of unlicensed taxis in Tamarindo-- fine for short trips, but I wouldn't use them for longer, highway trips. There are also a couple of licensed taxis. Public bus service is also available.
Plenty taxis…I will follow 100% the advice by Mc…he knows the area he is a local…
Also available for rent are Golf Carts, scooters and bicycles.
We got the name of a great driver- he took us to and from our hotel and then we ended up arranging a day trip to Playa Conchal- a hidden gem of a beach with white sand and offshore snorkeling- for a very reasonable price. He even packed fruit and snacks and escorted us to show us the way. Ignacio Abendano +506 8304 7320
