Does São Paulo have any gay nightlife or is it rio that has more of a gay nightlife? Please help
if you mean big dance clubs, the most important in Brazil by far is in SP (and subsequently it opened a branch in Rio too):
a good source in English about gay venues in general is the following (though not everything is 100% up to date):
what happens is that scene is quite spread out and not that concentrated in one specific area (though parts of the Jardins area have a significant gay presence; in between Jardins and downtown there is a local mid-range mall called Frei Caneca nicknamed "gay caneca").,,, so you have to know in advance when and where to go.... also different places cater to different crowds (in terms of age, income bracket, circuit-types, bears, etc etc)
Rio has more of the gay foreign tourist scene (with eventually all the bad side that may come associated with that, if you can read between the lines); but since SP has a much larger local middle class than Rio it can support a much larger local scene.
The week is the main night club, but you'll have fun just if you're muscled and handsome.
São Paulo hosted the 22nd Edition of the LGBT Parade.
The event was supported by musical performances, among them the singer Pabllo Vittar and the speech of the architect Monica Benicio, widow of the city councilwoman Marielle Franco.
Sao Paulo is in my opinion one of the best gay nightlife in the planet. I traveled so much and could not find something similar neither in Europe or North America. Sao Paulo has tons of gay clubs for all gay tribes, also the city is ultra gay friendly, you will see couples everywhere and most of the straight bars and club are gay friendly. To finalize is so easy to meet guys in there, you can meet them pretty much everywhere in the subway, grocery store and on the street.
