Activ vs. Multiplu card - Which one would work best?

If we take the 783 bus return at OTP in Bucharest is it better to buy the Activ or Multiplu card? We will not be taking any other buses or metro other than the trip from/to the airport.

For instance, if we bought an Activ card and there are two of us is it correct we could buy only one Activ card for 3.7 lei for both of us?

We then could load only 3 express fares on the card (rather than 4) for 3 x 3.5 lei = 10.5 lei. With the initial 3.7 for the card and the 10.5 paid for the 3 fares this puts 14.2 lei on the card and should cover the cost of 4 express fares from/to OTP and leave .2 lei on the Activ card at the end of our return trip to OTP. Is this also correct?

If we buy the Multiplu card, how would this work better?

Hi,

The 3.7 lei are the Activ card's own price, that amount isn't actually available to use. You will need to pay 3.7 lei and upload at least 14 lei (to pay for the 4 express bus rides) on it - 17.7 lei in total.

The Activ card is mainly for weekly or monthly passes and for paying-as-you-go.

The Multiplu card can be used by several people as well. In your case it would costs 1.6 lei (for the card itself) + 14 lei (4 express bus rides) = 15.6 lei.
