Can we still get visa on arrival?
Government says NO VISA, NO ENTRY, however, I heard still we can get.
Visa on arrival was withdrawn when the evisa system was introduced at the beginning of September last year, but it was reintroduced about a week later and is still available
I am really worried about it.
Should I prepare anything for Visa?
Just download and complete the application form (Form 22) from here
and complete it in advance.
If you look at the visa section of the Information page on the same website it says Visas are available at Ports of Entry
It looks like it's still the case that you can get one on arrival (http://www.immigration.go.ke/Information.html). I've seen references to $50 USD, 40 EUR, £30 and that you can pay in cash/card, however most posts I've read said people pay in USD notes. Will £30 in cash be accepted, or will we be forced to pay USD? Given the lack of strength of the £, it's cheaper for us to pay in £.
Yes it's available and yes you can pay £30
(Btw I don't think you've ever been able to pay by card, that just applies to the online eVisa)
Good to know, thanks again for the quick reply :-)
Its definitely cash only to pay for the visa on arrival!
Is visa on arrival paying in cash only still available?
Using GBP is a good option too given the current exchange rate - cheaper than paying in USD.
