Thailand eases Test & Go on 16th of December

From *16th Dec* , Test & Go will only require travellers to take rapid antigen test on arrival (as opposed to RT-PCR) and no need to stay an overnight at hotels. Children 12-17 y/o require at least 1 dose of vaccine travelling with fully vaccinated adults.

Anyone thinking of cancelling an existing AQ hotel reservation?

If you book AQ hotels via Agoda then it should be fine - please check the T&C.

My AQ booking via Agoda t&c:

Cancellation Policy: Free Cancellation is free any time before check-in date. If you do not check in or cancel by then, no refund will be given by property.

I just checked my booking for next March, According to my AQ hotel, "100% refund for cancellations 14 days prior to arrival date on prepaid bookings."

However, other hotels and other booking agents may have different policies,

Dropping the RT-PCR test by Thailand may be irrelevant to some people if the departure country or/and the transit country still require an RT-PCR test.

#7 - Might be good to wait until the official rules are announced before cancelling existing bookings.

As MrCycling says, it’s NOT yet official. And with the new omicron variant, it could easily be rolled back.
