DC hotel June $300per night?
Save

Further to a recent question I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of a decent hotel for a 5 night stay at the end of June for 2 adults. My budget is looking at somewhere around $300p/night.

We are wanting to do the usual sightseeing and museums, we are both used to being active so having to walk a little for a metro stop or to the sights isn't too much of a problem.

Alternatives to hotels are also welcome suggestions (I've been looking at embassy suites, that kind of thing??)

Really any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

This forum is filled with topics about picking hotels. If you have been reading you should have a few ideas. Would you prefer a downtown location where you can walk to a lot of stuff, or a more residential neighborhood with restaurants and some shopping? My favorite location is Dupont Circle, which is more residential. There are many hotels, several B&B's and even some apartments for a homey atmosphere. Are you a member of any hotel loyalty programs? There are just so many choices that it is difficult to just name one out of the blue. But a couple you could look into are Tge Dupont Hotel http://www.doylecollection.com/locations/washington_dc_hotels/the_dupont_hotel.aspx and for a bit of a suite, the Residence Inn on P Street NW http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/wasri-residence-inn-washington-dc-dupont-circle/ The Hotel Palomar is also nice. http://www.hotelpalomar-dc.com/
