Suite hotel between Dulles and Landover

We are arriving late into Dulles and must be at a storage facility in Landover by 8:00 the next morning. Looking for a suite hotel somewhere between with easy access to the highway. Any recommendations? Thank you.

My first question is how are you getting from Dulles to Landover? That's over an hours drive in Maryland.

Also note the different highways for which you will be driving to get there from Dulles.

Otherwise,

-Country Inn & Suites in Camp Springs, MD

-Hampton Inn & Suites at National Harbor

Both have easy access to I-95 which is the highway that you would take to get to Landover (for the most part, there are other ways of getting to Landover but this is the simplest and easiest for a visitor coming from Dulles Airport)

We are renting a car and driving from Dulles. Yes, we realize this is a long drive and are hoping to find something between the airport and Landover. Thank you for your suggestions. We will look into those two hotels.

There is also a Residence Inn at the National Harbor. It should already be open as it was scheduled to open this month.

Otherwise this is almost middle ground your other options will probably put you in Alexandria as these are somewhat "in between" the 2 locations.

What day of the week are you talking about?

If you need to be at the storage facility at 8 a.m. on a weekday, you're much better off doing the bulk of the driving late at night to position yourself closer to Landover and minimize your weekday morning drive.

If your storage facility visit is on a weekend, you can spend the night closer to Dulles and zip on over fairly quickly to Landover Saturday or Sunday morning.

Weekday morning rush hour *is* that bad around DC that it can make a substantial difference in your travel time and sanity.

I meant to add that the travel time between Dulles and Landover is just under an hour late at night or early on a weekend morning, but can easily be double that during the weekday morning rush hour.

So judge accordingly--how much driving do you think you'll be able to handle after you land? How early do you want to leave the next morning to get to the storage facility by 8?

The answer to those two questions (plus the day of the week involved) will lead you to the best answer to your inquiry.

If the consequences of being late for the 8 a.m. call are extreme, I wouldn't take any chances and would stay as close as possible to Landover. You just never know what can happen with traffic around here.
