Best dining neighborhoods

Which streets/blocks/neighborhoods in the District are best for lunch and dinner?

So if I wandered along I could pick from several places?

In general is DC a town where I need to make reservations (excluding super fancy places where I assume you do) but middling places if I eat early enough?

Penn Quarter. Roughly between 7th and 9th Streets NW and starting around D Street up to M Street. ( these are approximate boundaries)

The 14th Street NW corridor between N and V Streets NW.

Barracks Row on 8th Street SE.

Dupont Circle.

Maybe Georgetown, but I haven’t been there since pre-Covid days.

Dupont Circle - U St. between about 16-13th St. - Columbia Heights 11th St. between Kenyon and Park Road, or a few blocks west on Park Road for lots of ethnic options.
