Go to the few pubs that there are in Doolin . Join the other tourists .Eat Guinness stew - which is as traditional here as a cappuccino- that is, not at all.

How do you plan to travel? If you have a car you can at least see some country side and meet locals , weather permitting. Days will be short.

Sorry, Kesh _grammy to alter your list but the ferries to the islands or under the Cliffs will not be running in November.Tony Kirby's walks are also not scheduled for the winter but if contacted he may organise a private walk. You would also need to contact Pat Sweeney directly as he the demand for walks in the winter is minimal. However you do not need a guide to experience the Cliff walk as it is very easy to do it yourself.Take care though of high winds and muddy surfaces. All the pubs in Doolin will have food available and some of the pubs will have music in the evening

Thanks for the info,.. Family members have gone out with Pat Sweeney Spring & Summer... The Doolin ferry info doesn't surprise me as they couldn't get out whilst I was on Inis oirr due to the seas. When we visited the Burren Centre last year they had wonderful info on walks.

I remain a fan of the Hag Head site for walking & viewing the Cliffs, supplied by Tony2phones.

The boats to the Aran Islands run from Galway in the Winter. They do not do the cliffs tour or any of that stuff. The Islands in the fall (I went in November of 2010) were deserted except for the locals at the pub which was very cool.

My November Trip in 2010 was not unlike my other trips except the days were very short and there was less people. Try and get an early start most days as the sun sets quite early.

I am going back this December having already been in April and I am looking forward to it as much as I was in April =)
