Where do you park to get to the beach at hoopers bay? We haven't quite figured it out yet and are staying on tar bay.

Also is this still a good spot to see the turtles? It's our third time here and are looking for some different things to do/see.

Take a look at this map as the parking is marked. Hope it helps!

You can park on the unpaved road that is just opposite the beach access sign. This will be at the west end of the beach. Just park off to the side out of the way. There is no *no parking*, just courtesy to other drivers. Coming from Tar Bay the beach access sign will be on your left, the road is opposite this on your right.

The turtles were there each of our three stays on Hoopers Bay, but I didn't go this past winter, so I can't say for sure. But they were there every year for us. However, never a guarantee of seeing them. They came and went. Nice beach for a walk, worth a try. Far right end of the beach near the two docks that are next to each other. Have fun.

I have seen the turtles on every visit, snorkel out to the end of the pier there is also a barracuda that hangs out there too. Last year was the best there were 3 big very curious characters , one in particular who was very interested in my full face snorkel mask, hope you get to see them !!

The turtles are awesome...far away & the best Exuma experience we've had in 3 trips! Going again next month. I think we 'visited' the turtles 4 or 5 times the last time we were there...everytime they made an appearance, at least 4 or 5 of them!
