Etruscan Coast, Cecina or Monte Argentario

Etruscan Coast, Cecina or Monte Argentario

Looking to drive to Tuscan coast Summer 2016. Will be spending 3 days in the hills at the end but looking to spend the first 7 days by coast in 'Eurocamp' style accomodation.

Looking at Cecina or Monte Argentario. Like the look of the latter, but it is a long way down and pushing the travel distance a touch (we will be doing it with an overnight stop in Alps from Calais) and only have 2 weeks!

Anyone been to either of these 2 areas?=.=.Advice gratefully recieved as can find very little info about Cecina online!

Cecina is an Italian seaside resort, perfectly pleasant but nothing special. If you're into the Etruscans, and they're worth finding out about, pause at Baratti and Populonia

Thank you for the reply and will certainly do some looking up with regard to the Etruscan's. Baratti Bay looks lovely so will definately visit!

With regard to Cecina, are the Beaches reasonable? Not really looking for best beach in the world but rather a decent, low key beach resort we can wander at night and get a drink or something to eat!
