Entry if vaccinated?

Entry if vaccinated?

Hi.

I am scheduled to visit Norway (Tromso with Lofoten) in July 2021.

I see now the sole exception to mandatory quarantine is if you recently had Covid19 which i haven't.

However, I'm expected to be vaccinated soon (due to my chronic issues).

I'm interested to know if there is any talk of those who are vaccinated, to be allowed entry without quarantine? Since vaccination has already started in some countries...

thanks.

Haven’t read anything in Norwegian newspapers or official information concerning travel policies for vaccinated individuals. Hopefully will come in near future. But what do you mean by ‘scheduled to visit’? I would not make plans until the situation is clarified.

I've already purchased airplane tickets for 22.7. since we needed to reschedule our tickets from last year to this year. Otherwise we would lose money. We couldn't get money back.

It’s far too soon to say anything about the situation 7 months from now. Right now we are in the middle of the peak time of year for the spread of infection, and vaccines are not commonly available. Seven months ago, the pandemic was just starting, and we’ve seen restrictions relax and tighten over and over this year. Any speculation at this point is virtually useless for planning.

Plan with quarantining in mind so as not to be disappointed. If quarantine is lifted or partly so in July, regard it as a bonus.

Having had Covid19, you will have antibodies, being vaccinated you will have antibodies and my common sense tells me one should count as much as the other.

As vaccination programmes have hardly started yet, we can only wait for an official statement when vaccination programmes are progressing.

Also the foreigner who arrive Norway with a negative test need to stay in 10 days quarantine... so, what happen when visitors have the vaccine done... time will show...

"I see now the sole exception to mandatory quarantine is if you recently had Covid19"

Is this definitely true? I haven't seen that information anywhere yet. Would antibody test be sufficient? I am interested in coming to Norway and I did have covid in early November. Can anyone provide a source?

Thanks a lot :)

Difficult one to find. Only seen it on - https://www.udi.no/en/about-the-corona-situation/visits-holiday-and-leisure-trips/#link-18962

Open the « To whom does the requirement for a negative Covid-19 test when entering Norway apply?» paragraph, last point.

But this seems only to mean you don’t need the negative test, not that you avoid quarantine.

See self declaration form that you must deliver on arrival - https://www.regjeringen.no/contentassets/493acaa2bb94492db3887a62c9f84e98/avkrysningsskjema_karantenehotell_engelsk.pdf

It seems holiday accomodation does not qualify to avoid quarantine in hotel.

But not at all clear - take the hint that holiday travel is not encouraged as it’s not essential.

Hi,

Have browsed on the issue. It seems that the current situation is as simple as that: only Norwegians are permitted to enter Norway, regardless whether you are vaccinated or not . I have a trip scheduled on the second part of June. Although the flight has not been yet cancelled, I really doubt the trip is going to happen. Any prognosis?
