Travel tips

Hi. Arrive in Ciampino airport in Rome at about 8.30pm and going to Hotel Invictus which is apparently 5 mins from the bus station. Would a taxi be quicker or is the bus just as quick? Huge price difference obviously, so I'm debating whether the taxi is worth it, Thanks

I don't know that a taxi would be faster. I would probably arrange a private transfer with a company such as www.romeshuttlelimousine.com.

Bus station?

Looks like you can take the metro from Termini. €5 for the bus from the airport plus €1.5 for the metro.

Up to you to decide if the €30 for the taxi is worth it.

Yes, taxi will be quicker.

But normally buses from Ciampino Airport to Termini station (yes, your hotel is near that station) take 40 minutes, maybe less at 9 pm. Probably you can save your money

We're staying at Hotel Invictus, so you reckon a bus and then a metro?

Ok, Hotel Invictus. So I guess I'll get the bus then. Thanks

Termini I think. It's the Hotel Invictus.

I did a little exercise with Google Maps. It is best to walk from Termini to the Hotel Invictus, about 15 minutes. It is not faster by public transport and there is no real timetable.

Mostly there are no taxis in Ciampino. More information about the Ciampino transfer you will find here https:/…

Yes, Terravision (or other company) bus from Ciampino to Termini. Then walk to the hotel
