Le Logis du Bief

We have booked the self catering unit at Le Logis du Bief for a week next year and I would to hear from someone that has stayed there.

The web site is a little confusing. Although it says there are 2 twin beds in the second bedroom, it also says the unit is suitable for 2 ppl and that over 2 persons , it’s recommended to contact “le Logis du Bief” in order to know the condtions of the stay.

His email was a little confusing saying:

the second room is a twin bed one and would be perhaps a little small for 2 adults.

But a subsequent email said:

The second room has twin beds.

I would love to hear from someone that has stayed there with 4 ppl.

Thanks,

Yes,Yes and Yes again. Would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Loches.

We stayed with Jean Clauda and Moha last year for a week and they were wonderful hosts as well as their lovely dog who would pop in for a visit when the gate was open.

Cheque no problem. We tore it up when Jean Claude gave it back to us on the last day.

For us ambience describes this Gite. By far the least expensive and best value we stayed in during our 6 weeks in France. It is not what one would call large but has all the facilities for comfort. Main bed has a regular double, spare bed two small singles with a bathroom, all upstairs. A composite lounge, dining, kitchen area with an outside balcony overlooking the canal are downstairs. Plenty of room for the two of us.

Places we particularly enjoyed eating, during the day, lunch at L'Estaminet in the nearby village of Beaulieu Les Loches a short walk over the canal and botanical fields and the cafe in the Cite Medievale de Loches, and, in the evening, dinner at a small restaurant in a side street near the Gite, Isabeau de Touraine.

Market day has a good range of food and there is a boulangerie just down the street

Enjoy - we did.

Best make it quick if you want to stay in Loches with Jean Claude and Moha. They are moving at the end of the year. The new place looks lovely
