We would like to start our 4 week trip relaxing on the coast, wondered what Scarborough had to offer or any other suggestions.

Scarborough has a beach, but the water is too cold for swimming. Has 3 restaurants at the moment (they come and go). And that is it. No shop or supermarket. Also has a bit of a baboon problem, so you can't leave windows and doors open.

Hout Bay is out of the city and has a good beach.
