Anyone has booked through Traveluro website?

I was trying to book Hilton Waikoloa Village for thanksgiving night and everywhere the nightly rates were around $780-$800 plus taxes and fees. This one website shows me the rate of $170 and with taxes and resort fees came up to $220. I want to believe it’s a scam. Anyone has experience booking through this website?

I called hotel and they said they don’t have any booking under my name but it can take a couple off days if it’s booked from third party. I can challenge the booking charges on my credit card but before I do that, I wanted to ask if anyone has successfully used this travel website? I also received email confirmation of my booking.

Also the manage/change booking doesn’t take me anywhere! The website won’t let me make changes or cancel the reservation but the emails says cancellation is allowed. I am convinced this is a scam.

Just based on a google search it looks like a scam. If prices look too good to be be true they probably are.

Yeah the reports on traveluro are that they take your money, book you into a lesser hotel without telling you and at the last moment say that your hotel is unavailable but they can get you into the motel up the street. So that's the scam.

I have not booked with them.

You are all right! I got too excited for a good deal. 🙁 but glad I didn’t find out at the hotel after a long flight from east coast.

Moral of this story. If it's too good to be true, don't book!! There are scammers everywhere, please use common sense and don't end up being a victim. Alert authorities.

File a dispute with your credit card issuer. Even if you used a debit card, you should be covered under banking regulation E.

Yes I did that immediately and credit card company took care of it. Out of curiosity I called the hotel twice to confirm if a room was ever booked under my name. As suspected, it wasn’t!

SCAM COMPANY - don't book through them. Got to the hotel 12/10/2021 to be advised my stay was cancelled that had been book early November. My brother and his family where staying there too. He also booked at the same time through Traveluro and had the same experience. Only way to contact Traveluro is via a web form - no direct email, no phone number. I have not gotten a credit or response. I am working thru my credit card company at this time. If anyone has a phone # for them that would be great! Web search directs you to Trust Pilot to post a review for Splitty Travel by Traveluro to post a review. Another scam as initial search results shows Trust Pilot ranking them 5/5 but once you open to TrustPilot you can see that is not the case??? I would not be surprised if many of these are fake reviews. BTW the contact phone number posted there is not in service.
