The Highest Pub in Africa was super cool but it had a lot of locals in who didn’t seem too keen on seeing tourists. It just felt awkward to be honest. We enjoyed our drinks but the food was average. Would rather had had something...simple like a sandwich or soup! However, was a good experience. Make sure you visit during a clear day. We had no view and lots of mist!More

We loved the food, the service and the ski hut atmosphere of this place. They just need to chill the white wine before you order it...

After a walk in snow up Sani Pass, this is the best place to catch your breath, enjoy the amazing views and relax! Best gluhwein in KZN! Enjoyed the food!

Fantastic to sit at the Africa’s Highest Pub and sip the best gluhwine ever. Lunch was good and the walkabout and views exceptional

I love the restaurant at the top of the Sani Pass. The food was so good, we had the chicken curry and lamb stew, hot meals in a warm and cosy setting. The staff are friendly and provide the best service. It was my second...visit, and won't be my last!More

Of course the main purpose to visit this place is to see the "Highest Pub In Africa" ! Apart from that we had lunch which, whilst nothing fancy, was very adequate and tasty. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. Then there are...the views from the top os Sani which are amazing.More

You'll have to endure a tricky mountain pass 4x4 drive up the Sani Pass to get to the venue which is an adventure all on its own. Once at the top the views are epic and you'll often be above the clouds. Quaint cottage style...restaurant serving decent food at decent prices and if you're there in winter then the cosy bar will keep you entertained for a while. Chalets are neat and comfy and there are lovely walks. Safe and secure.More

We stopped off here as part of the Sani Pass tour (there is nowhere else to stop!). The views are amazing and the food is more than adequate. There is a wide choice of wines and beers to choose from - with the added cachet...of being the highest pub in Africa. If you are doing the Sani Pass tour you will end up here. There are lots of local tribesman who will try and get you to take a photo of them - for a modest contribution!More

I've only ever had drinks at the pub then gone to the table to await food. I don't recall ever seeing napkins at Sani top :)

Hi Yes it is, the road is tarred all the way from Clarens to the Sani top pub. Beware of potholes, reckless drivers and cattle :)
