We have not heard so much Afrikaans music and seen such old Afrikaans memorabilia for a very long time -. Obviously tongue firmly in cheek Pieter Dirk-Uys style. Pieter was on top form portraying four characters including one we have not seen before. Friendly service...More

Thank you Mrs Bezuidenhout for an afternoon of laughter and impromptu social comment. The food, ambience, gallery and museum are recommended.

Rather sad to say this as a South African but this was a terrible experience , Mngt obviously don't know how to plan for a long weekend. We visited on 9 Aug 2018 & they were completely understaffed. Quite a number of guests complained about...More

Have your photo taken in the cardboard cut-out of Evita, stroll through the little "museum" and sit down for a tasty toasted cheese and tomato sandwich with a generous helping of chips if you're passing through Darling. I believe a lot of good shows are...More

This is an intriguing place! It was quite an eye opener for me too in terms of our history. I enjoyed the kitsch decor and being able to sit and watch the dvds playing on the screens. I’d imagine that this would be a lovely...More

While our restaurant visit was a tad rushed since we had to make it for the (great) show by Pieter Dirk Uys, the food was still good and the setting interesting and thought-provoking.

We visited Evita's Perron on two separate occasions, once to visit the Museum Nauseum (which is excellent by the way), and it was a really interesting way to pass the time. We returned the following day for lunch, and this was where things started to...More

Possibly some of the best Bobotie I ever had. Family visit while passing through. The burgers were slider sized, and about R 85 each, thus excessively priced. According to my teenage boys, taste was average.

Apologies for the very late reply. The show does have a fair amount of Afrikaans but they do vary and take a comedic view on global and local politics. We are English speaking and enjoyed the show thoroughly.
