Quick stop over turned into lengthy wander around, enough interest for whole family to distract from travel. Very delicious biltong fresh baked bread. Still a padstal and not over commercialized. Exactly what a padstal should be. Friendly staff.
After busy weekend in yzerfontein we decided to stop here for a quick breakfast en route home. Lovely coffee and excellent kidneys on toast and a lovely traditional breakfast. The home made bread is something special and sells for R30 a loaf. Stunning little spot!
Was always a great stop service this time was terrible terrible at this restaurant The staff here have an attitude problem wait till when we want to serve you and don't ask for alterations like could I please have some Marmite, it is just too...much.More
Mediocre experience, slow service even though empty. The kids play area could do with some serious maintenance and TLC. Limited menu and selection which is a pity because it could be an ideal spot for those travelling.
This farm stall boasts a coffee shop, general farmstall, wine shop and petrol station with toilets. It sounded fabulous in the all the reviews I had read which suggested one could get and taste the wines from the area. While the wine shop is well...stocked with the wines from the area, the wines are pricey, and there is no tasting room facility. The farm stall had some intersting food offerings which include bokkems- dried fish. Worth a stop.More
I sometimes stop over here and in the past have had some delicious West Coast Pickled Fish, but today on my way to Cape Town I stopped over for a quick lunch... The days specials was three different curries. I decided on the chicken curry...and was disappointed when I realized that the funny texture of the chicken and soggy rice could only mean that this was cooked, frozen and reheated... Definitely not fresh out the pot as 'dish of the day' would suggest. I assume that the other curries on offer where also out the freezer. On the up side they have some local craft beer: Darling Brew cold out the fridge. Il rather try one of the other farm stalls on the West Coast Road next time after this bad experience.More
