On a recent visit to Tulbagh we had lunch at Paddagang which seemed to be the only restaurant open. We ordered a bottle of rose which arrived not chilled but off the shelf temperature, the waitress said they had no chilled rose. On being asked...what chilled wines they had she brought two bottles to the table of which we had to choose. The food was fine but not memorable. Please employ a few professional waitresses. Not recommended at all.More

Visited for my wife’s birthday dinner. Immediately seated with a smile and waited on politely and attentively for the rest of the evening. Biltong steak perfectly prepared and delicious. Chicken schnitzel equally enjoyable. Both dishes highly recommended. We will be back.

Its got so much potential but really in need of a clean. We luckily only had coffee there. Def would not eat there. They really need to sort the place out - toilets, everywhere its dirty. The staff however was very friendly.

We used to frequent Paddagang regularly during the early 2000s, always a special occasion. After an unfortunate time out as the Belgian Café, Paddagang has finally been restored to it former glory. It was our first visit now since 2012, only to find the same...familiar menu of those early years. Well prepared traditional Cape food, wonderful setting in the shade and friendly, helpful staff. Keep it up! We'll see you again.More

Lovely laid back lunch - was very impressed with their approach to sanitising during COVID - greeted and seated but not before everything got wiped down and throughout the meal steps were taken to ensure a high level of compliance - Cheslyn was exceptional as...our server - wines were lovely not just because of their lovely labels but for the contents as well - the feta and watermelon salad as a starter was delicious and the main courses of Biltong steak and chicken schnitzel were excellent - healthy portions - setting is comfortable but simple outside -More
