The curry was the best I've tasted this far. Was a great experience as the new bar was hosting a rangers game. Really enjoyed the vibe. Prices are reasonable and yet the service is beyond measure. Recommended for anyone who really enjoys a good flavour meal.

The food and service was outstanding. We had a delicious vegetarian meal. Not overly spiced nor under. Not oily at all. Well presented. You will not be disappointed. Rating should be more than 4.

We had samosas and chicken curry. Both meals were excellent. The best samosas we've ever tasted. Not oily with thin dough and lots of mince inside with good flavor.

One bite was enough. Take away medium chicken curry. It was inedible. The chicken was red and floating in an oily type water with one potato and bones. This surely is not traditional Durban curry. No balance of spices. Please improve the standard of your curries, we are a small town and want to support you, but reading previous reviews with similar complaints it’s an ongoing problem. See photos attached.

One of the worst butter chickens I’ve ever had. Was very watery and pale, it had such little curry taste it tasted like a sauce from a supermarket packet. Not traditional Indian curry at all. Chicken & mutton curry excessively oily and full of bones, not much meat. We used to always eat at Moksh which was the best but unfortunately closed down. Wouldn’t recommend Curry Bar if you want real Indian. Nice service and restaurant interior thought

30th April, ordered chicken curry with rotti got: two small pieces of chicken, a bone, a potatoe in a tiny bowl half filled with oil, absolutely no sauce! Tasty but that doesn't justify the R75 price tag. They should be boycotted for their prices and portions. This is daylight robbery.
I felt robbed.

Curry is all bones and potatoes and extremely little meat. Butter chicken was curdled and looked frozen and warmed up. Bunny chow is the most expensive half loaf of bread ever heard of. Bunny chow costs R170.00 but the curry only costs R90.00 making half a loaf of bread cost R80.00. When I questioned the owner I was told that I coild not afford her food anyway. Certainly not how you handle any customer. Very rudely treated!

The butter chicken was watery and insipid…..looked more like some sort of insipid chicken curry. Seemed to be previously frozen. Asked for roti as a side but for rice instead.
My husbands lamb curry was “adequate” but also not something to be repeated.

Actually for take out curry the food quality is fantatstic and qwith regards to South African Indian fair standards the curry really is excellent but be warned they offer 1 rotti per serving and a tiny bowl of rice if you prefer rice so the sides are pathetics and be doubly warned, the portions are not great in size either but the price is very high for what you get, so in summary fanstastic curry but overpriced and stingy portions

Although the curry tastes good, it is a bit disappointing that in all cases ordered, there were more bones in the curry than meat. The owners must realize that it is not just about the flavor but also about the need to eat.

Just popped in for a take away. Both the Butter chicken and the Bunny Chow was delicious. Excellent value for money. We will be back.

Prawn curry was excellent, would have liked more prawns, Bought fish curry in the afternoon, tasted fish only and not much curry flavour. Overall experience and quality is worth the money.

Best bunny chow in the West Coast! Had many curries here nothing matches the Durban curries and at last found a genuine Durban bunny!

Definitely some of the best curries I have ever had and highly recommend it, the oxtail and lamb curries are my favorites and the lamb breyani and chicken curries a close second, the kids love the vetkoek with mince and butter chicken, great quality, decent portions and not overloaded with bones and potatoes like other Curry dens, well worth the money spent : )
