We have often been guests at the Aschbacher Hof and would recommend this again and again, but there is already a discrepancy between the food, lunch and dinner as well as the breakfast offered. The kitchen is rightly awarded many times. Fresh and regional cuisine that convinces and tastes.
On the other hand, the breakfast and service in the morning leaves much to be desired. Egg dishes are limited to scrambled eggs and a boiled egg, fried eggs are only available if there is time for service and there is generally no omelet. The same applies to extra wishes. And the reason is not the warm, attentive service.
Or the beautiful, tasteful ambience.

We stopped at the Aschbacher Hof for lunch on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. The hotel restaurant is located outside of town on a hill and offers a fantastic view of the mountains when the weather is nice. The quality of the food and the friendly, attentive but not intrusive service make it well worth a visit. I would also recommend making a reservation during the week.

The Hotel/Restaurant Location is quite unique, wonderfully overlooking the Bavarian Alps in the distance.
Overall a very good experience for afternoon snacks, cakes and coffee.
The Traditional Kaiserschmarren was the highlight. Service very forthcoming in the restaurant.
The young Patron was greeting all guests and asking of the wellbeing.
I Went to the reception at about 3 pm to enquire, if I could view and be shown a guest room, which I usually do at a well perceived hotel.
Unfortunately this request was declined, claiming that the hotel is sold out and no room available at that time. Having worked in the Hospitality industry all my live, I realised, that I was disturbing the lady, with no effort being made to entertain the simple request.
Where there is a will, there would have been a way with this small request.
Personal recommendation is the best form of promotion; but needs to be understood by team-members.
Again, a great Restaurant, which is certainly recommendable.

My wife Angelika and I, Georg, have been at the Aschbacher Hof at least once a week for years. (At least) Firstly, we think EVERYTHING there tastes excellent. Secondly, not only is the management great, but also the entire staff! By the way, we will be there again the day after tomorrow on Saturday May 18, 2024. We are already looking forward to the delicious food!!!

I checked in in the evening and discovered that I didn't have any towels in my room!
As the reception was no longer manned, I had to get dressed again after a shower and went to the restaurant where the extremely friendly waitress provided me with towels!!
In the morning when I checked out, I told the receptionist about it, whereupon she shouted at me whether I hadn't checked whether there were towels when I checked in???!!!
As a guest, do I have to check the room at 8:30 p.m. for 125 euros per night??
She said that was practically impossible because the rooms were checked three times a day!!
I got the impression that she thought I was lying for some reason! Never experienced that before!!
It's a shame because the house is very nice and the restaurant is delicious with funny, friendly staff!!
After an exchange of words in which she accused me of being unfriendly, a tortured apology followed!!
What a shame for such a beautiful house!!!

Very fine and upscale cuisine, but still traditional. - In other words, "normal" food is possible for everyone.
I've eaten there several times and it was always perfect.
We recently celebrated New Year's Eve there too.
Everything in a family business, which we prefer and will continue to support. (Unfortunately, Corona did not pass without a trace here either.)

This isn’t just a regular restaurant with a view, this really is something quite special, from the warm welcome to the stunning views, from the terrace, over to the Alps to Austria. And then there’s the food. I’m almost lost for words, but it was absolutely spectacular - like the view. What a unique and beautiful place. Highly recommended.

Stayed in this wonderfully located hotel for a family wedding. The setting is magnificent with the alps in the distance and a wonderful panoramic view of the countryside. The rooms were well appointed and generous, the food superb and the staff attentive and courteous. Need I say more!

I am sorry you regard our Prices "a little high". As the owner I assure you, concerning to the costs, you are enjoying our food and services for absolutly resonable prices in this region. Especially the personnel expenses are rocketing so much and we are only transfering a small amout to our prices. As long as the market of qualified employees will not improve (which I doubt) I am sure we will see much higher prices in the near future or closing restaurants. Unfortunately this is reality.
Altough we will, as always, do our best to fulfill our promise for hospitality and quality.
I hope I could give a better understanding for the situation and would be happy to welcome you again in Aschbach.
