Fantastic spot on the beach. We had a great meal with quality produce and friendly staff . No booking to arrive expecting to wait, but it’s worth it.

Fabulous location and excellent food and drink, right on the shore. There's a great view and lots of outdoor seating. There was a queue when we arrived but we were seated fairly quickly. A gardener was trimming the grass outside which made it hard to...talk and spoilt the ambience but we moved to a table as far away as possible and enjoyed a very good meal. The pizza oven wasn't working so the menu was slightly limited but the food was still excellent. Service was generally good, but the server occasionally appeared disinterested in serving us. Justifies its reputationMore

This restaurant was repeatedly recommended to us and I’m at a loss as to why. The food is pub grub and reminds me of the Brass Bell circa 1990. The pizzas look good but lacked the acidity from the tomato sauce to balance the cheese....The veal lemon(e) had way to much raw lemon juice and was served with yellow rice and boiled vegetables. Kids shared a spaghetti bolognaise which too was not a triumph. I had the red stumpnose (red listed fish) which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The location is superb but the restaurant looks tired and is a wasted opportunity. Won’t be hurrying backMore

Locals are not treated the same as tourists. Poor service inside. Food mediocre. Without the views it wouldn't feature at all. Staff need to know that locals are their stable bread and butter. Overrated as no competition in little town. Fed up reluctant to support.

Food fantastic, service excellent, atmosphere - warm, welcoming & relaxed. We started with the Bomba that we really enjoyed. My husband enjoyed his Calamari & chips and I had the most delicious pasta with a glass of Wine. Would rate the restaurant 10/10.

visited with family from overseas, arrived 7.30 seated quickly and ordered food and drinks, food was OK, certainly no wow factor, the sour part came when we finished out main course. at 9.05 pm we asked to see the sweet menu, only to be told...the kitchen had closed, we said OK we will order some coffee only to be told the bar had closed. 9.05pm all finished. A real shame the waiter did not approach at any point to inquire if we wanted sweets or coffee. I am sorry to say this popular place survives on its setting and previous reputation. I wont be rushing back. Tip "go early"More

One of the most spectacularly placed restaurants I have ever visited. Having heard so much about this restaurant over many years I was so excited to finally visit it. Waiting 40 minutes for a table only raised my expectations. Sadly the reality fell far short....Once the sun sets and the context is shrouded by dark skies there the magic stops. Table settings- plastic tables sheeting, cheap wine glasses and cutlery in line with what one is accustomed to at the Wimpy The food was nowhere near the quality of what I'm used to eating at the fine Italian restaurants in Cape Town. The antipasti dishes were pretty mundane and my line fish ,while a decent sized portion lacked flavour. The supporting veggies had had any flavour boiled out of them. The famous bomba sadly a tastless dough balloon. Truely amazing setting for a very average restaurant. Score me what you wish Enrico.More

I visited with my family, we asked about their recommendation for the food and we followed. It was really good. We had the butterfly shrimp, fried calamari and garlic bomba as a starter. Lamb shank, fish and pizza as a main dish and some desserts....The food was really tasty, portions were quite good and quality of food was good. Waiters as well were really nice and very helpful. A must try place if you’re in the area.More

We went there for lunch from Wilderness with a group of friends on a weekend, the weather was spectacular, and the location is first class. We sat outside and managed to get a table right on the edge overlooking the beach and ocean. Two in...our group only had dessert and coffees and they had cheesecake and tiramisu and both said it was superb. The rest of us wasn't sure what we wanted in terms of seafood so our waitress recommended different options to create our own platter enough for 3 people, mussels, prawns, fish and calamari with rice and chips and numerous sauces and dips. All of it was absolutely delicious and portions were generous. But the absolute cherry on the top was the service from our waitress, Big Mamma. She is brilliant and a total gem and clearly loves her job and interacting with people.More
