We were stunned how many cars was parked in front, so we thought it must be good. And we were right. Waiter was so polite and friendly and he gave us his recommendation what to take. We had the best pumkin soup, it had dumplings...made with walnut flour, something special and really tasty. For main course we had some veal, that was cooked for 24 hours and than baked, great! The price for five of us was not too expensive. The restaurant itself was nothing special but you must try its cuisine!More

All the tastes were peculiar (as something was off the right place) too salty or too smoky, but it can depend on everyone’s personal taste. The thing that in my opinion was really not good was the price of the Angus steak. 28€ for a...tough steak that I left half on the dish because it was hardly eatable. The place though was nice and the service ok.More

This is a place where locals would go for lunch at weekend. That usually means a boring menu consisting of beef soup with noodles, roast with potatoes and Vienna schnitzel, and (apple) strudel. Repnik does much more than that. We started with a chicken liver...pate, which by itself was good. However, accompanied by three types of homemade bread (milky with wild garlic, whole wheat with seeds, white) and an excellent, slightly spicy fig mostarda with mustard seeds, it was lifted to another level. Homemade ravioli were filled with a local cottage cheese and wild garlic. At the table, they grated a autochthonous cheese from local mountains over it. The dish was simple, but full of respect of tradition, locality, and seasonality. And, which is the most important, very tasty. Veal shank was cooked sous-vide for 12 hours, resulting in an expectedly soft meat. The jellified juices are kept like that until service time and than placed on the top of hot meat slices. Rich meaty sauce is a perfect fit to dunk some bread in it or to eat it with excellent štruklji side dish. We would actually prefer the cottage cheese štruklji as a dessert as well - the Repnik signature dish, their take on mille-feuille was quit a big disappointment; the dough overpowering the (plain vanilla) pastry cream. Boring. All in all, it was a pleasant Sunday lunch with a better gourmet experience that we hoped for. We will be back.More

I'm sorry but it does NOT deserve the EXCELLENCE CERTIFICATE! I am a university professor I teach the students about the quality of the services so I can with certainty give them this EXECRABLE behavioral example!   The staff is rude, unhelpful! That's how you...can't deal with customers! MISERABLE!!! Let them be ashamed! and clearly does not deserve the certificate of excellence! After a tiring journey, over 600 km we arrived in Kamnik, and being evening (Friday) at 20 pm (I consider it an hour neither too late nor too early) we asked at the hotel where we stayed to recommend a restaurant with traditional Slovenian food. They told us Repnik, it is not far 2 km (I took a taxi) and when we arrived we were greeted with refusal, but in a rough way, unexpected for a praised restaurant. Although there was not much world they told us we couldn't eat there !!! At least in the reviews or on the website of this unit, it is written that you CAN NOT EAT THERE WITHOUT BOOKING, and if you do not have a reservation, RESPOND NICE THAT you can eat only if you have a reservation. Shame on the staff!!! RUDE STAFF.More

First meal in our present trip to Slovenia. The first plate was a great collection of cheese and cold cuts - very special. Then we had veal - My sister loved it, I did not and the risotto was O.K - no more. The price...was relatively high - we understood later in other restaurants.More

My wife and I had 4 course menu : starter, soup, main dish and a dessert, everything was prepared really well and food was tasty. We ate local sausage with mustard seeds for starter, mushroom soup, for main dish we had veal (it was amazing-soft...and juicy) with vegetables and potatoes, and for dessert we had slovenian cake kremšnita, prepared on modern way. Just a reminder- it's a slow food, so take time and enjoy, because it's really delicious.More

The staff is super friendly and very nice, the service is excellent. Rooms are really clean and cozy. Everything is wonderful.

Nice, cosy place inside. A bit retro, but nice. Food (half of the family are vegetarians and half of us are "normal") was very good. as a normal person, you could even eat the vegetarian plate, which is more excess than the rule at "local...food restaurant", especially those, where you can get 12h prepared beef or something more exotic, like a "krača" or stuffed beef roast. Try Trnič, local cheese, similar to parmesan cheese. We tried it on pumpkin tagliatelle (similar), which was excellent for me.More

We had a fun dinner. Food was great. Really local and our waiter Sasha made all the recommendations. Nice surroundings and good interaction with the staff. Highly recommend if your passing through the area.
