A 10 for its amazing and heavenly location. OMG ! The restaurant - guesthouse is nestled in the Austrian Alps up high in the mountains. Almost a ladder to heaven. Green, green rolling hills. Postcard like mountain views. Cows chiming with their bells in the...pasture lands as in the Milka chocolate wrapper. The chalet house - restaurant just like in a lifestyle magazine. Very cordial personnel who are dressed up in their local folklore costume. Interior is warmly decorated in Austrian countryside. It was a sunny Sunday morning so most tables inside are filled-up. Outside with a magnificent Autumn views was a bit chilly.Menu is outstanding but a bit a " fine dining price ". It was worth to be here though. Toilet is very clean and well-decorated that you can almost " dine " there. One can overnight in their guesthouse. One has to drive up here but the views are glorious. Highly recommendable. Love it here !More

Such a wonderful view and atmosphere. You need reservations, but it is worth it. This place is so cozy, the service is attentive without being overbearing. It is simply worth a visit if you are anywhere nearby. My husband had venison and I had prawns...with home-made pasta! The food is regional and organic. So delicious.More

We had a lodge in Annaberg, and this is one of the 'near by' options for a nice dinner. We drove there on December 21 and it was snowing all day. The drive there was like out of a Disney movie: Secluded up on a...mountain, snow on the streets and the last half mile there were lights above the snow covered road and trees left and right, just great!. We had dinner at 6 or 7 so we were early and we got a nice corner in a room with only few tables. We were alone in that room, but the attentive and friendly service was always there. The food was excellent local cuisine, well prepared and presented.More

I was celebrating my 40th birthday at Winterstellgut with 40 guests and a DJ and everything was extremely well organized. Maria and her team are highly professional, lovable and fun. They fit right into the charming atmosphere of Winterstellgut. But not just dinner and the...party itself was grand, the reception at the remise was romantic as can be. I wish I could celebrate my 40th birthday all over again.More

Winterstellgut located high in the Dachstein mountains near Annaberg is one of those magical places. Breathtakingly beautiful with majestic views. On a bright sunny day sitting on the patio enjoying a sumptuous meal, simply divine. The cuisine matches the location in being superb and outstanding....From the delicious soups, excellent salads and appetizers to the delicious mains. Not to be missed are the outstanding deserts. The Kaiserschmarrn was one of the best I've had. In true Austrian fashion, the service and staff are very warm, welcoming and attentive to your needs. Overall, a must to visit and enjoy the magnificence of the surrounding beauty and outstanding cuisine.More

We stand up without a reservation so were very happy to have a table available. The wait staff are very attentive with the offer of a aperitif of a small glass containing schinken sort of pate. After explaining that I did not to eat meat...and only fish I was given a gorgeous kartoffel soup. For my main course I ordered fish, the saibling, and my partner ordered goulash. I was surprised to be given my fish to discover that the sauce was swimming with little pieces of meat. This wasn't mentioned on the menu. There was no alternative offered unfortunately. my partner is German said there was no communication breakdown, so beware if you are a vegetarian or only eat fish - there is nothing on the menu that does not contain meat. Still a great view and a nice night.More
