About
The Two Oceans Restaurant opened its doors in December 1995, and is an integral part of the development at Cape Point, which is now part of the newly proclaimed Good Hope Section of the Table Mountain National Park. There is much here for visitors: from excellent dining and browsing through the curio shop, to witnessing the crashing waves where two oceans do battle near the tip of Africa. Set into the cliffs high above the south-western most tip of the Cape Peninsula, the Two Oceans Restaurant has a spectacular view over False Bay and comfortably seats some 300 guests. The innovative design of the restaurant ensures that all guests are able to enjoy the stunning views of this unique location – a view that is unrivaled and world renowned. Of course, you can also enjoy some of the Western Cape’s most magnificent wines when you dine at the Two Oceans Restaurant. The restaurant's extensive outdoor deck presents plenty of opportunity for an incredible breakfast as well, or to catch some sun before taking the Flying Dutchman funicular up to the lighthouse, saving your energy for a walk down to one of the many beaches in the reserve. Our team of chefs meticulously prepares the comprehensive menu. The restaurant’s elegant fare is served in a relaxed manner, and can be enjoyed on our deck, or in the restaurant itself. Fresh seafood is our specialty, especially our world famous Two Oceans Restaurant Seafood Platter. We also cater for vegetarians, meat & salad lovers, and the younger ones.

What a magical find with breath-taking views from the deck. Originally they had our party seated inside and because it was a spectacular day weather wise, we asked if we could be seated outside. The manager was fantastic and accommodated our request with a short wait. The kingklip was out of this world - the best ever! The ladened sea food platters that went through to other tables looked awesome (they were a little out of price range). Our server, George, was excellent, friendly and funny and clearly loved his job. Amazing to find this level of food quality in such a touristy spot - have never experienced this before. Clearly very strong management and competent, creative chefs. The only draw back, were the incredibly long lines at the pay point to get into the park, but most certainly worth it.

The food here was lovely (so long as you like seafood) and it was lovely to sit outside in the shade looking at the view. We were there just before new year and the park was busy, but at 11:50 am we didn't need a reservation. They were also happy to time orders to accommodate some people who had to be finished on time for a tour bus.

Who would expect a civilized bastion that shines like the lighthouse above the rocky outcroppings at the tip of the African continent? Though our greeting at the door wasn't overly welcoming we were quickly seated at a table that seemed to be added in a trafficway. The first order of business was to imbibe in a glass of one their excellent wines to take the edge off the caucophony of the bustling staff and patrons around us. Honestly a bit of attention to the acoustics here to dim the noise would be a benefit. The menu has limited choices for a fixed price meal in one, two, or three courses with additional options of other seafood dishes. But this is where the real beauty is. The kitchen has crafted a work of art as each course is served by our attentive waiter, Stanley, who was courteous and helpful in reccommendations. The manager Doddy, also stoppped by to see if everything was all right. We truly enjoyed every dish marking this a memorable dining experience. We then had no guilt in the extra calories as we hiked down from the top of this dramatic landscape.

We have been here before many many years ago and the menu was much simpler and cheaper. It has come a long way since then. The menu is more geared for tourists and fine dining. The view is phenomenal and the service very good. The food was very good and I enjoyed the new presentations and choices. I think it's a bit expensive but worth it and would be affordable for the foreign guest. I will return.

Bad experience. I suffer with severe food allergies and was unable to have anything on the main menu (Allergic to milk eggs nuts wheat fish and seasame). I asked for a side of chips instead. I was told that the restaurant doesn’t allow this and that I needed to order a dish from the menu to be able to have a side (even though I couldn’t have anything on the menu). There was no attention what so ever put into trying to find me a dish that suited my dietary requirements. Disappointing experience with poor customer service.

Biggest thanks for the warm welcome and the stunning service to Kay! You made this visite really werth it!

After a morning of spectacular views we truly didn’t think the day could get much better. We are grateful we booked for lunch, b e f o r e we hiked ( note to others ) as there was a queue when lunch time kicked in. From arrival; the service, the staff, the atmosphere were above and beyond. A special mention to our waiter, Andy, who gave us great menu recommendations and reason to come back, soon! The salmon and kingklip were both cooked to perfection and the dessert was mouthwateringly delicious! The marshmallow, fig, goat cheese ice cream one... wow! Thank you to the staff, to the manager Samantha, and the chefs. We will be back.

It goes without saying that there are breathtaking views to be had at this restaurant, we were lucky enough to get a seat on the veranda. The food was delicious we had the sea food platter to share and an amazing walnut and fig dessert. But what really made this lunch exceptional was the A star service provided by our waiter Ronald. He had a great sense of humor and has definitely been the best and friendliest waiter we have had in South Africa. A real asset to the restaurant and a great example for other waiters! Can’t wait to be back

22 November 2020 my partner and I had the good fortune to be served by Charlotte at the Two Oceans resturant. The Restaurant has just gone through 8 months of covid shut down and was only open this week and will close again until mid December The manager was so pleasant and then we met Charlotte our waitress who when she realised it was a special birthday, went the extra mile to make the experiance unforgetable. The food and service was top class and especially from staff that have been unable to work in these preceding months due to covid A big thank you to Charlotte and the team who made a difference. What a beautiful venue with the worlds best view at Cape Point.

I am not a big eater but after ordering a main meal of prawns and receiving 4 or 5 of the smallest prawns I have seen. Basicly almost shrimps and a massive bowl of chips for R220 was a complete joke. I don't mind paying but that prawn main meal is a starter. Chips is suppose to be a side dish and not visa versa. Anyhow we will unfortunately not be returning there again. The manager Wardah says the prawns are expensive. Hahaha... So the cheese platter which was half the price was not so expensive. It seems as though there are a number of comments regarding this. The place was dirty with food and used serviettes on the floor. Cleaniness is clearly not a priority to her and her staff. Your work clearly is a presentation of how you live.

We went to many incredible restaurants while in the Cape Town area, but I found the food here to be the best! Visually stunning and tasted great! We did the 3-course meal so we could try a variety of items on the more fancy side ... but they also had plenty of seafood and fried foods as well. Pork belly was the best I'd ever had! Also we made the mistake of not understanding we were to ask our Uber driver to STAY at Cape Point while we hiked, so we were literally stranded. But one of the chefs shifts had ended and was heading back towards where we were staying and took pity us on and provided transportation home. So huge thanks to the chef and the host who arranged this for us! Also, I can't recall the waitresses' name, but she was OUTSTANDING! Truly hospitable and very pleasant! Great experience.

Went during a trip to Cape Point. It was suggested to us a mixed fish dish as „suitable for two“. The amount of fish was really too much for two so we couldn‘t even finish it: a bad advice from the waitress just willing to make us purchase the biggest plate. Moreover, and most important, the fish quality was quite poor. This plate costed alone around €110! The restaurant is lucky only because it is the only one in the Cape of Good Hope area. I recommend moving on and eating something from the food market next door instead.

We had some deep fried calamari for starters and while I had the catch of the day for main meal (white salmon with edamame beans), my husband had some pork belly. Both dishes were beautifully cooked and so delicious. Sven our waiter was very professional and his service was top notch. He didn’t lie about the food, it was really tasty and affordable and also looked high class. We loved it and would definitely go back.

The views from here are beautiful but it is the food and the service that make it outstanding. We had oysters and the Atlantic seafood plate with a bottle of Cederock chenin blanc. Our server Maria was friendly and effective in her duties. The food was fresh and well prepared. This was one of the best dining experiences that we have had in a long time.
