We had burgers, didn’t taste of pure beef. Rolls were homemade but stodgy. Chips were nice, spirals on a stick. Coffee's expensive for the small cup. Nice pear and nut salad, just too much sweetness, needs a sharp cheese or something. Not licensed but there’s...a great beer barn next door.More

We love having this gem situated in the Drakensberg! Delicious food! Harvest Table on a Sunday is a family favorite and something we do on a regular basis. Elsa & Schalk always go above and beyond to ensure incredible service and hospitality. Definitely recommend!

A highlight of every visit to the berg is most certainly one (or usually many more) meals at this gem of an establishment. The menu looks simple enough but what arrives is a beautifully crafted plate of delectable fare normally served with sauces offering unusual...and surprising taste combinations. Even the vegetarian dishes were absolutely delicious and very satisfying. We are huge fans and can not wait to return.More

Unfortunately we arrived in the middle of load shedding, and the menu was limited. The ploughman's platter for 2 that we shared between 3 of us was delicious,and more than we could eat. Nice to get fresh food rather than premixes . Can recommend

What an amazing Sunday lunch experience! We were advised by our guest house hostess to visit Champagne Bistro for the Sunday buffet lunch, Maryke was so enthusiastic she even made the booking for us. The concept is really cleaver in trying lots of different traditional...South African dishes which are all unique and bursting with flavour. We had a fantastic time and it was only towards the end of the meal that I looked up at the view and spotted loads of bucks. Well worth booking in advance and is a unique culinary delight.More

This was not our first visit to the Bistro, on both occasions we could not be served. We were told that they had no food left for the day. However, they continued to serve other patrons that had arrived after us. Our group was a...group of 10 people. We then proceeded to be served and seated at the Brewery and had a super time. The disappointment was that we had guests from out of town and had told them all about this establishment and then we were treated so badly. I am not sure if we were treated in this manner on both occasions because we had arrived on motorcycles? Sadly we will never know :( It is most unlikely that we will return to the Bistro or recommend this establishment.More
