We went there for a late lunch. The restaurant had empty table inside and outside but we were made to write our names on a waiting list.. Nearly all the food has some form of bread except for the salads. The waiters are not attentive at all. The kitchen closes before the restaurant closes at 17h00& there is no warning given. One gets to know when you try to order something

The food overall is good but the topdeck cheesecake was very dry, tasteless and seemed quite stale. The service was terrible after multiple requests were ignored and minimal effort was made to make us feel welcome. The attitude of the waiting staff was unpleasant.

Had a delicious brunch today at French Toast On arrival we were greeted by the front of house host, he welcomed us and took our temperatures. All Covid protocols were 100 percent The service was awesome! The food absolutely delicious. I had a perfect croissant with smoked salmon and my wife had her favorite eggs benni which she is very fussy with, she scored 10 out of 10. This place is just too beautiful. The love locks are such a beautiful attraction and the French theme of is carried though and very authentic. The place was nice and busy for a weekday morning but social distancing was in place and you can see many tables have been removed. Inside and out this is a beautifully maintained establishment. Safe parking right outside makes this a winner!!

Looking for a pleasant day out, I got a list of places in and around Hartbeespoort Dam and we came across French Toast Coffee Cafe. The whole concept looked sp amazing. it is a little Paris with a small Eiffel tower even with the bridge with all the locks of friends and lovers names engraved on the lock and becoming part of the decor. Ones first impression is a little Paris with a choice to sit inside the Cafe or outside which serves every dish with French toast, breakfast as well as burgers etc.. They have a novelty shop , a clothing shop as well as a pattieserie with soft French music playing in the background. It was all very cute. We excitedly seated ourselves outside and waited patiently to be served. They were not that busy. We were served by a waiter who abruptly with some irritablity showed us how to scan the menu( what if you did not have a phone) After placing our order we received our drink and were left waiting for our meal for quite some time without making rounds again. By the way the waiter did not bother to introduce him, which every waiter should do. Eventually someone else other than the waiter brought us our food which was so disappointing. A measly breakfast of bacon and eggs with French toast and poached eggs with a hollandaise sauce on French toast ( French bread size) so tiny portions for R98? and that is without coffee. The manager was wondering around and now and then walked to the entrance where people were 'being sanitised, but no interaction with the customers whatsoever. Her lack of training her untrained servers and her lack of keeping her customers happy or doing a courtesy round just added insult to injury making what could have been a pleasant day although costly, totally not worth it. I happened to speak to a friend of mine who coincidently went to French Toast a week later and had the same experience with the serving staff and the disinterest of the manager. French Toast is overpriced and over rated. I will not suggest it to anyone.

The food is mediocre, the staff at the restaurant are even worse. Lazy, rude and inattentive. The restaurant was relatively empty, yet food took over an hour for 4 mains and 4 drinks, ridiculous. When enquiries were made about when our food would be ready, the waitress rolled her eyes and said she doesn't know. The tower is worth the visit but that's it. There are plenty of other eateries in the area, well worth your money, don't waste it at this supposed "restaurant"

We visited the French Toast again. On the previous visit, we had something to drink and took some pictures. This time we had breakfast. I had the hotdog deluxe, my son the unique French toast hot dog and my wife had the egg bacon breakfast. The food was nothing special, but very pricey. The scenery for photos is still nice and great photos can be taken. I will go for a photo shoot and something to drink. Go early otherwise taking photos with other people in the shot becomes very difficult.

The whole look and feel of the place is beautiful, but when it came to sitting down and eating, it was unpleasant. We ordered both our drinks and food at the same time only to get our milkshakes 20 minutes later and our food arriving 40 minutes later. The waiter was sweet trying her best to keep us happy but overall it was a very long awaiting breakfast.

From the music to ambience, food and views, all was absolutely stunning. The French toast was delicious and having it in the variations was quite exciting. The burger was my favorite and the onion rings were delicious. Service was a little slow as they were filled to capacity however when the food arrived, it was well worth the wait. The environment is lovely for kids to run around and the view of the little Eiffel tower is great for pictures.

This review is based on another review written by Benita Pillay. On the 1 February 2020, we had a booking for 24 people. The booking was made a week prior to our arrival. The booking was setup at 9:00 and not at 8:00 as mentioned by the owner. The first crowd of people arrived on time but there wasn't any table set up for 24 people. When the rest of our people arrived they were made to wait because the rude owner had to set up another table. The owner came to our table to remove the remaining chairs and TOLD us that she will be moving us to that table. Did she not notice that we were eating!! We completed our meal at the existing table because we weren't going to move around with our meals. The waitress was friendly and rendered good service, whereas the owner was rude, unprofessional and she resorted to being dishonest about a few issues.

Well it may not be Paris,It was surely a unique experience as a traveller. Be it their very authentic french cuisine, the walk ways giving a european touch and not to forget a fairly decent amount of dedication to recreate the eiffel tower itself. French Toast is a must visit in when at Hartbeespoort. You will even see a lot of lovers, engraving their names & locking it up around the area attracting a lot of lovers to their restaurant. They have a chic but extremely French menu that can bowl you over with some amazing craftsmanship in terms of taste & display from the Chef. There is also a Patisserie selling treats to sweet lovers. Loads of opportunities for selfies, family clicks and memorable moments. Ofcourse not to forget the good food. Can get a bit sunny in the evening during summers, but a lovely place & a must visit.

Some of the staff are rude, especially the woman who engraves the locks. the locks are overpriced. The new rule about being required to pay for a silly expensive lock just to go in to take a photo at the Eiffel Tower or required to eat at the restaurant. there was never that rule and using Covid as an excuse is nonsense - you can still limit and manage numbers without people having to pay so much for a lock they don't even want. if you feel you need to charge people to enter, then make an entrance fee that is affordable for both parties. when we asked for an explanation, all we got were excuses and they were rude to us, so of course as the customer being treated poorly, we were firm in return. we stood 2 hours in the line until closing time and were refused in because we didn't want to purchase a lock. There was also no sign or notification of the requirements to enter in our long wait in the line, until reaching the front. We had a terrible encounter with the engraving lady in December as well, so this is not an isolated incident. we will not be back and I assure you that we will absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.

Our meal was average, the atmosphere was good but the service was disappointing. It was not full when we arrived but the waiters seemed confused as to who needs to be serving where. The Eiffel tower replica experience was our best part.

Interesting to see. Only 1 restaurant at little paris it is big but no smoking area they could have at least made a smoking area somewhere in the corner. There must be 50 signs saying no smoking everywhere outdoors. If there was another restaurant at little paris we would not have chosen french toast. The food was o.k its just expensive and this is more the type of place you bring your children to not really for adults who need a break/outing.

I love an eggs benedict and the one at Café Alexander (the name of the restaurant at French Toast) was disappointing to say the least. The French loaf that was used instead of the English muffin was very heavy and did not complement the dish at all. I get that the place is called French Toast but not sure how necessary it is to add it to every dish? Was very underwhelming. It was my first time. Service was decent. Chilled vibe. Great drive. If I do visit again, it will definitely be to try a pastry or two. I'll skip the brekkie.
