We had to wait in a queue to get a table at this restaurant as it was packed,
However once we were inside and ordered ,the food came pleasantly quick!
The food was okay , enjoyed the burger and cake!
The savoury pancakes seems to...be a specialty and popular. We tried them ,I didn't enjoy them :(
The menu doesn't have much variety.
But it was a great day out and the waiters quick on service and covid 19 regulations being adhered toMore
This restaurant is filthy but on top of it they are seriously exposing clientele to Covid infections. No screening. No forced sanitisation. Tables sticky with dirt and grime from 6 months ago. Tomato sauce on edge of tables.
The menus were sticky. We asked the...server to spray the menu's. Her response was they get disinfected every morning. Wrong answer!

My family went there for breakfast and fresh produce shopping. The breakfast is very tasteful and the portions are generous. The place was very busy on this Sunday and to find a place to sit becomes a challenge. We had to forgo the shopping due...to the volume of shoppers shopping at the fresh produce market. A definite visit, just manage your timing.More
We intially went to little Paris but was so packed we decided to go eat else where and found the windmill restaurant on google and we were not disappointed! Service was on point food was amazing and everything was so great !definitely be going back...!More
My wife and I decided to do lunch at the restaurant and ordered a beer and coder and two of their double patty signature Windmill burgers. First time that the food arrived almost before the drinks had and the haste with which it was put...together was evident in thick and crudely sliced raw onion, cucumber and green tomato. We had to return the food to ask for burger buns without any of the unsolicited blobs
of chemicals on it that the waiter said is a mix between butter and margarine that they use(!?) When we finally could start eating, the mince patties were so over seasoned that not even the warm beer from the bottle could wash the salt taste away.(Decided to drink from the bottle instead of the glass presented, as the glass presented with the drink was filthy dirty and warm) The sauce bowl was chipped and still had food from previous use by someone else sticking to the side of it.
Do not waste your money on a restaurant that is obviously much more intent on customer turnover than serving good quality, generous portions of food made with attention to flavour, presentation and great taste. You will find better burgers at a mediocre roadhouse. Excellence and great tasting food is foreign concepts here. Such a disgrace to the Harties community as unsuspecting tourists kept flowing into the restaurant. They are wasting a wonderfull privilege, post lockdown, which has caused many other much better establishments to close
down as they are squandering the opportunity to set themselves apart with something else than just relying on their location and proximity to the shop. Quality control in the kitchen, before food is sent out, is a serious concern. No cook with any self respect would give someone else food prepared the way it was and presented in this way. I would not serve my worst enemy food and drink in dirty and chipped plates, glasses and bowls. Shame on you guys.More
This review is for the waffle house in hartebeespoort. We've been here a few times before but this time the whole atmosphere and customer service was off. The lady who served us was okay and the guy who assisted her looked like he was doing...us a favour. They also served us with badly chipped crockery which also didn't look all they clean. That's most definitely unacceptable. When I told the waitress, she had no apology or response as to why we would be served on badly chipped plates. I'm not sure if this is okay with other customers but we felt very uncomfortable eating on those plates. Some of the waffles were good. Some not so much. The kiddies waffle looked nothing like the picture and description in the menu and the banana and caramel waffle was disappointing. Anyway, just our latest experience. Not much to write home about. It seems they've become complacent. Maybe a visit is needed to the waffle house in ramsgate in KZN to see how it's done.More
