So me and my Husband have just returned from this restaurant for dinner..at first we thought it was closed in total darkness..we arrived at 6.30 pm..we asked the lady at the bar if it was in fact open she said yes and turned the lights...on..we eventually found a table where there was not an army of ants swarming around our feet..we sat at a table with holes in the tablecloth I'm all for rustic settings but this place was shabby and dirty...children probably the staffs family running through the restaurant 3 x dogs running riot. We were then presented with a shabby plastic menu..we chose the beef curry 3 beef samosas rice and ugali and a chapati and chips..no atmosphere just a few men sitting in the corners staring at us...so the food came after 30.mins..the rice and ugali were ok..the samosas burnt..the beef curry was OK ish but meat was tough..the chappati was raw and not cooked properly the waitress was surly and didn't smile once. .when she came to collect our plates she saw the uneaten chapati I advised her it wasn't cooked properly but she still had the audacity to charge us for it..my husband had a tuskers the bill was 1.150 ksh...cheap but not enjoyableMore

Love to eat here. Normal prices, good food. And.... a good white dry wine. Not the vinegar you get elsewhere. Its not a fancy place, but food is really good. And if you crave a wiener schnitzel this is the place to be.

For years now they serve the best Samosas for low prices in a setting that is very "BUSH". Go there to enjoy a drink at Saa Moja ....

What a great place for cheap but good local food. The samosas are probably the best I have ever tasted.

We met a Kenyan friend and his daughter here for lunch. The owner is an older Kenyan man who was trained in Austria. His son is now the chef. So, it made sense to get the special, schnitzel! But first, for starters, the best samosas...ever. The schitzel was very thin and crispy, so very tasty. A very nice place to join the locals for a delicious meal.More

They have great steaks and deliver. Many years ago I managed this simple place for fun and they still have the same service attitude, low prices and plenty of cold drinks!

The restaurant is closer to Galu beach. Very relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Portions are enormous! I had Taffi fish with mashed potatoes, couldn't finish the mash, my partner had frikadelle, both meals were tasty and amazing value for price. However, we waited for food for almost...an hour, which was a bit of a let down. The worst in this place are the toilets - avoid if you can! Filthy, doors don't lock, no soap either.More

Sundowner is basic, well-priced food in a rustic setting. Excellent value. All of their menu is available as take-away, hot chips cost KES100 per portion. Food is all fresh, seafood too, and we ate here a few times over a fortnight. Food service does take...a long time, but there is a bar where you can have a couple of drinks while you wait! The staff are delightful, especially Wallace and his mother. We had takeaway samosas nearly every day, they were delicious and hot!More

We went here once, it is very basic, good food with large portions, also serves some Kenyan dishes. Very cheap to eat there, we were the only people there so had privacy, they do their best to please you.
