Great food, friendly staff, fabulous decor, and well priced. We ate here a few times. One of our favourites at Magnetic Island.

We visited here recently and got 2 burgers. The food and service was excellent, 5 star. It is a little pricey and then there was a 10% surcharge on Saturdays and Sundays, which is very odd (4 star). Overall we would definetly recommend and we...would return.More

This is a fun place, with lots of character. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the meal came in good time. We both ordered the fish with salad. The latter was beautifully prepared, fresh and tasty, with toasted nuts and seeds on top, and...looked most appetising. The fish was none of the above. I originally thought the small, hard flat object on top of the salad was a thin slice of wood, employed to hold the toothpick and slice of lime. However, it was the fish. It was over cooked, hard and most unenjoyable. It was a great pity, as the staff even lent us a Bottle-O push bike to buy wine down the road. We feel bad about it, but we won’t be back.More

We came here the first time as it was one of the few places open on a Monday night. What a great experience! We loved the eclectic decor, the fabulous staff and the pirate theme. In fact we returned several times because we had such...a fun night. There's a special kids' corner and various seating options. I loved my baked sweet potato so much that I had it twice. The burgers were amazing and the cakes delicious. Vegans and vegetarians would also love this place. It has a BYO licence and also does takeaways.More

The baked potatoes. Worth it. Had breakfast here also, was pretty good. Coffee was good also so we went back after a day of adventure for dinner. My partner had the halloumi burger and I had a spud. Both were delicious! The baked spud had...great flavours and was crispy on the outside, just perfect. They have vegan and vegetarian options which is also great. Would recommend. They decor is also funky and funMore

Sometimes it takes a few days, or even weeks, to find such a hidden gem. After many recommendations, we finally chose the right moment in our Journey to dine at Scallywags at Nelly Bay on Magnetic Island. Wishing we had dined at Scallywags sooner! Wishing...I could extend our trip further, just to dine another time at this special place! Will travel here again, to Magnetic Island, even just for one day, just to dine here. It would be a fantastic day trip from Townsville, on the ferry. Next time we visit, it will be our first point of call. They are open for breakfast until 8pm. There is a super kids play area, which is so rare. For people (like myself) who have special food requirements, please let them know as soon as you walk in. They will make sure you are looked after, as any five star restaurant would. They will make your minds and tummies feel well. If I could rate an extra sixth green circle rating, would have no hesitation in doing so! Thank you to everyone at Scallywags on Magnetic Island! We totally look forward to returning again!More
