We almost made the mistake of eating at Bocca di Lupo. I expressed skepticism when they wouldn't seat us because there were so many empty tables. I was told they were fully booked. Rather than ask us to sit at the bar or come back...later, the extraordinarily rude and combative owner followed me into the street to yell at me. His loss was Mosaic's gain. A lively atmosphere with live music. Fast service and good fun. Don't miss it.More

Stopped for lunch here, a decent spot with some nice views. Pizza was tasty. Service a bit slow, but nothing to complain about. Has play gym for kids, and some outside seating. Overall a decent spot for a pizza.

Most establishments in Clarens are closed on Monday, so we chose Mosaic which was close to our B&B. Great food and good beverages. Service was good, albeit a little slow, but not unusual in S. Africa.

We opted for pizza after a very nice round of golf in Clarens. Mosaic has certainly established itself as the go to venue for pizza in Clarens. Our pizza's were non standard and this presented no problems to the extremely friendly staff. All the combinations...were perfect and very well prepared. We will be back!More

There is also a shaded area outside where we prefer to sit. While the kids were enjoying themselves at the play area, we ordered our lunch. I happened to stop at Mosaic Pizzeria on an overnight stay in Clarens and was surprised to find the best pizza I have had in South Africa. Nice portion and plentiful toppings on a medium crust, good to get away from the normal paper thin...ones at most places here. Will be going back in a couple of weeks and will not miss another opportunity to visit this place.More

Had lunch at Mosaic on Friday, 23 Sept 2021. Town was packed, so I said to my husband we probably will have to get a take-away as they will be full. To our surprise, they had lots of space! Weird that they were not busy...while the rest of town was packed. Didn't have the drink I wanted to order, and when hubby asked about size of gin on tap, waitress couldn't give an answer, finally gave up and ordered a glass of gin on tap. Asked for halve a Mexican and halve vegetarian pizza, as we have done many times before. Mexican was really bland and vegetarian you had to look for feta cheese, base also too thin! Unfortunately there is no choice of getting a thicker base. Then, hubby went to settle the bill in front. When he got back, he said something about gratuity on the bill. I checked the bill, and included in our bill was a R25 gratuity, not added by my husband. So hubby settled bill with card and paid R300, he also added extra for a tip,. He didn't realise he was paying a double tip. So on a bill of R251 he pad in total a R49 tip! When I saw this I went back to the manager and asked him how they could simply add a tip, without giving the customer the choice of the amount. He didn't offer any excuse or reason, just opened the till and gave a R30 refund. As a restaurant it is your obligation to inform customers beforehand that a 10% gratuity will be added to the bill, regardless of the service!!! So people be aware, many people don't check their bills, and will end up paying a double tip!! It is NOT an honourable way of making money,!!More
