Interesting to taste all the local ciders. Particularly love the cherry cider. Place very busy, central town and popular.

Just absolute delightful place to taste some home brewed beer. Make sure you get a table by the bar, barmen and ladies just absolute cheerful. Chees platter not to be missed. An extra plus for me was that I could buy beer classes as I am a collector.

For an establishment that focuses so well on brewing the best beer in the Free State, their food menu is surprisingly impressive! Clarens Brewery is ALWAYS busy, but the brewery is adequately staffed and the waiters are very courtious and knowledgable of their dishes and the in-house beers which are offered to the public. German style sausages are generously accompanied... More

Two words: Cherry Beer. That's All. Okay maybe not. We worked our way through the nine samples and my husband favoured the English Ale and the American Pale Ale. I got stuck on the Cherry Ale and that's where I stayed. The ambience is on point as we watched the Harley Owner's Club members roll into town for an event.

The beer tasting was presented very well, the food was tasty and service good. A nice vibe sitting on the sidewalk watching people stroll by.

Vibes at this establishment are electrifying. The food..the beer, the ciders. When we visit Clarens we visit the Brewery 3 times on a weekend. That says it all.

Stopped to sample some of the local brewed beers, these are very different tasting, loved the brew that had a taste of litchis (sorry cannot remember the name) also enjoyed the cherry cider. Nice chilled atmosphere with light eats to keep your head in the game. Waitrons very informative of the brews and helpful so do not hesitate to ask... More

what a perfect place to relax after travelling and exploring! On arrival we were asked if we would like a tester tray to try all the craft beers for free! The staff (especially our "guy" Simon) were friendly and the service perfect. Oh and the beer, ciders and craft Gin amazing. We look forward to coming back.
