We didn't know about this restaurant in Saint-Brice-en-Cogles but it was recommended to us. Very good food and beautifully decorated. Do go if you are in the area.

We knew nothing about this restaurant but were advised to go there to celebrate our son's birthday on the last day of our holiday in July this year. We were very impressed with the venue and the menu, especially as we were staying nearby and...we were not expecting such a top class restaurant in this small village. Would recommend this to anybody in this area.More

We stayed at the hotel as this is a restaurant done by the hotel. We ate dinner here- the only restaurant in this town at that time. Good food was served. we all shared dishes at the cost of ordering a starter or dessert each....Prices were reasonable.More

We stayed here and enjoyed three dinners banquet style. Good vegetarian option and meat is served to suit the cut (ie rare for beef)

Had Sunday lunch here. Service was excellent and attentive but not overpowering. Everything was spotlessly clean. The food was wonderful, high quality and beautifully presented. I would have liked the portion sizes to have been a bit bigger. Good choice of wines.

Was very busy but despite that the service was quick and excellent and the guilettes were spot on. Cidre out of cidre bowls was fun!

Recommended by the owner of the cottage we are staying at we thought we would give this restaurant a go. The village is really pretty - tree lined and full of flowers - and the hotel sits in the middle, huge white stone lions set...beside the front door. In we go....oh dear, we nearly spun on our heels and walked out...piped music and that clean but oh so nowhere decor which belongs to two star hotel chains dominating fringe city locations...into the restaurant...splodgy gold and silver wallpaper, no candles, no pictures, no view and minimal ambience. We considered leaving but looked at the reviews here and decided to stay....and so glad we did. I ordered the dover sole with grilled endive and a silky moussey sauce, my husband a steak frites. Both were beyond superb and perfectly cooked (he didn't even ask for mustard for the steak it tasted so good). The sole and its sauce outshone several other good meals. Service was excellent and charming and very efficient particularly considering the restaurant and two adjoining rooms for special events were crammed by 8.30. But at no time did we feel that they couldn't cope and weren't attending to our needs. Lovely rillette and little glasses of cucumber gazpacho bought as amuse bouche. Excellent decaf coffee to end. Having nearly not ordered, we left thinking we might be back - for the food!More

We ate here twice during our stay, using one of the set price menus which varied day-to-day. The food and service were very good. They clearly set high standards for themselves and meet them.
