Cafe Del Rio is a nice place to relax and spend some time enjoying the view of the river, eating and drinking something.
The menu is simple but you can find something you like (buffalo wings, nachos, steaks...).
My suggestion for improvement would be for more non-alcoholic beverage options.

They have a good kitchen and a great view of the Zambeze river. If u want to take a boat they also have the service.
Great place to be on the weekend, specially Sundays, with family or friends.

Great vibe and beautiful sunset views over the Zambezi. Fish was very good. Service needs improvement. Cats coming for food were a bit disturbing as well.

The setting is lovely, the reception was fair, the service was not good and the food was definitely not up to standard.
A slimy patty on a standard burger was really a disappointment. It is clear, management here has no grip... Maybe time to redo some planning and controls to win past merits back again might be a bright idea, but it needs rapid implementation...

Invited by a friend, decided to try this place. The ambient was very cool for a Thursday afternoon and the food and drinks also accompanied the experience. Tried the famous Zambezi river fish (pende) and a good meat to conclude that the Chef has skills.

We had dinner at this restaurant and loved the ambience of the place overlooking the river Zambezi. Due to many trees at the restaurant the place is mostly very cool and the quiet river brings some calmness with it. The food is very well prepared to and the service great.

I lived in Tete for 4 years and Cafe del Rio is the place to go. Always good food. Good service. Good prices. Friendly staff. A must when in Tete.

Normally we stop there for the prawns which are absolutely divine.
This time we also tried some other dishes and were blown away!!
Do yourself a favour and order Marrow bones, snails or The fire cracker for lunch and then have prawns for dinner, like we did.
You can see the owner works very hard and sets high standards for her staff. This pays off in that you have the best service in an age when that seems not important to other owners.
Good job, please keep it up and we will continue to drive 6 hours to your place for a leisurely few hours with litres of beer and great food next to the river.

We arrived in time to watch the sunset over the river. The view was amazing, the food was delicious, the music was not too loud, and the service was good. They had a prawn dish that was amazing!

This is a sun set we should not be enjoying for free
Had lunch at this place with my colleagues and the ribs we smiling
The pork was tantalizing and the whisky mix is Sexta feira
I recommend this place for after work Friday afternoon

What a cool place to eat at !! It is on the banks of the great Zambezi, so the view is great! The drinks were good and the service excellent - I would definitely recommend this restaurant !
