We went on a Friday night and had a lovely meal at this well priced spot. Its on Main Road so you have lots of taxis and people wizzing past - you see a slice of life by the window and can observe the goings...on at the SAPS at Woodstock. The food was lovely and so very well priced. The service was careful. There is nothing spent on decor, but its the food and the location that makes it interesting. The dips and bread were the best. 6 people ate full for R740.00 - not bad at allMore

Really needed something special & different to tickle the taste buds & therefore decided on some Moroccan cuisine. Wow ! it ended up being a good choice & memorable experience. Will definitely return. We ended up going on Friday evening taking a phone booking for...7pm in mid November 2020. The Sea Point Restaurant isn’t by far a fancy place but based on the décor it attempts to create a memorable & original Moroccan experience with it being clean & comfortable. It created a nice soft ambience with authentic Moroccan music being played in the background. There is small mobile pray area in the back for Muslims with ablution & restroom facilities ( male & female share ). Under the COVID 19 restrictions & conditions no issues were noted as seating is well spaced & the place has good air flow. A plus was that the place wasn’t too busy as it patrons were circulated as the evening progressed. The seating areas can accommodate small & large groups in one seating from 2,4 6, 8 & 10 + independently . The waiter services was very responsive & the guys were most helpful in explaining the menu in detail. The selection of dishes on the menu is wide. I would suggest you check out the menu online. We ended up having the Lamb & Vegetable tagine as main course after having some varied & authentic Moroccan salad starters . The starters are a great mixture of flavours as it is infused with herbs , spices & served with flat bread. You will be able to taste each favoured salad item like fig, chick pea , avo , olive, parsley , cucumber ,tomato etc. The main course food portions are well served for 2 people. They are reasonably price comparable to similar restaurants. Both Lamb & Vegetable tagine dishes are basically stews. The taste & flavours were mouth-watering. Not spicy nor bland . How delicious & different as the lamb was soft & succulent. For drinks I tried the tasty mint tea. Again a great choice! The hot tea is served in a tea pot & with either a serving for 2 or 4 + people depending on what you order. The tea is also served with 3 or 4 cookies. Again the different & strong varied Moroccan flavours can be tasted as you bite through it. Just writing this review reignites my graving. Thanks for being strictly Halaal. Ma As SalaamahMore

I visited the Woodstock branch with some friends, and honestly, it was a delightful meal. The service is a little slow, but the gentleman who served us was polite and the food was worth the wait. As a table of 4 we shared a falafel...starter, I had them mixed grill skewers and my friends had different lamb tagines. For me, the grill was the best option, the lamb was very rich. The servings are very generous - I took home quite a bit of my meal together with some of their amazing bread. I found the prices very reasonable - oh and the mint tea served with different biscuits - what a treat! I would definitely visit again. Use the Woodstock police station as a location marker because you wouldn’t think this place would be a restaurant. Also - I suggest taking an Uber - Woodstock main road can be a tricky place to navigate and park.More

From the outside you would never imagine that the inside could be anything special. However !!! once inside you can expect the most amazing food spiced and served exactly like a Moroccan restaurant in Rabat, Casablanca or Marrakesh. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Excellent food, large servings (for me) and relaxed atmosphere. Even open and serving delicious food when the lights go out in Cape Town due to load shedding.

Horrible Experience!!! The service is absolutely terrible and we were served by a more and more incompetent server as the night went on. Our food was brought in sporadic intervals and the order was not complete... 30 minutes into the dinner delivery the drinks finally...arrived, which was incomplete and missing a few drinks, which arrived 15 minutes later (please note, these were all soft drinks and required no special preparation). An hour after having received all of the dishes in different intervals the last order was not delivered to our table, on enquiring, we were informed that they had NOT EVEN STARTED making the order!!! They then proceeded to invoice us after having reached the limits of my frustration and asking for the bill... the invoice brought to the table was completely incorrect and require 30 minutes of back and forth to fix the bill because the manager completely avoided having to deal with us and sent a server to try and deal with our concerns. We left after having experienced what truly was the worst service experience I have every experienced in a restaurant. The worst part of all of this was that the food was not nearly good enough to warrant any service issues! Honestly, give this one a skip and spend your money elsewhere!!!More
