On our way from Knysna to Hermanus and decided to stick with the N2 route, I found this place online and was not disappointed. We loved everything about it, the relaxing ambience, the great staff and the very good food. I had a salad and that was very good, my son a pizza and my wife a sandwich...all good quality and nice portions. I don’t think I have ever stopped somewhere so close to a main road and had such high quality good value food - highly recommend!!!

Met my parents for lunch. Food was cooked to perfection (medium rare fillet) service was great and prices not bad. Not to mention the delectable selection of breads and bottled eats. A definite must stop for us.

The Eats:
Mozzarella & Tomato with Basil Pesto and Chips
Beef Burger and Chips
The Pros:
Good value for money
Delicious sarmie with plenty of basil pesto
Tasty chips
Lovely country atmosphere even though the N2 is a stone's throw away.
There is a farm stall inside the building
Good service from the waiter
Covid protocols were in place
The Cons:
The beef patty can do with some love.
Suggestions:
Some thyme, for example, would enhance the flavour of the patty.

We stopped off in Heidelberg on our way to Cape Town after a long days driving. Delish was recommended to us as a good dinner spot by our host and I was not sure... strange name. Well, it was a fantastic meal where everyone's needs were catered for - we had a vegetarian, a thirsty son and a slightly picky other child. You could go hog wild on the meat or have fish or a pie or a pizza - so a wide menu without having so many choices that you don't know were to start. On tap beer as well as wine by the glass.
Service was swift and attentive and the quality of food was really good. Prices were fair.

We were a group of 8 family members who enjoyed the breakfast. The staff were well trained and friendly. The bread ( ciabatta) served for breakfast was freshly baked and tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant as we all were very satisfied with our choice of breakfast. Also a deli with a wide range of products; even home made chicken pies, bobotie etc.

Just off the N2, Delish makes a refreshing change from the usual "fast food petrol station stop" chains. Freshly baked ciabatta, health bread, pies, rusks, cookies and more. The menu offers variety and obviously includes breads baked on the premises. Can't fault it!

Have bought some of their bread there before. Decided that today was the day for breakfast.
Tried the Skaapstertjies (lamb tails) and Chiken livers.
Both were excellent!!!
Succulent lamb tails with the meat firm enough that it doesn't fall off the bone but rather melt in tour mouth when you bite.
Chicken liver peri-peri was done exactly the way it should be. Not too saucy, not too spicy and definitely not overcooked. Just right!
The Ciabatta bread was AMAZING!!
Great selection of home made goodies like jams, sauces, cookies etc. on offer as well.
Don't drive past. Stop, visit, look around and eat something. You won't be disappointed

Very good value for money dishes. Good selection. And to top it, very very tasty!!!
We had the Bobotie (wow!!) and the delux crumbed chicken burger (sjo!! SjO!!!). I can recommend both!!
Great selection of Deli items including jams, sauces, pie's, cook at home lasagne as well as the most delicious breads, biscuits and rusks. Most of them made in-house too!!
Definitely worth a visit.

I am posting this review again, it was previously removed, but I feel strongly about warning people about this restaurant.
We stopped in Heidelberg at Delish, looking for coffee and cake 3 Dec.
Walking in, all 4 of us commented on how dirty the deck area was. Inside the cake display also looked messy. We were desperate and had to use the ladies bathroom. The bathroom was gross and the door of the ladies bathroom had a big brown mark (where people push to open the door) clearly not cleaned in a very long time.
We all said no ways we want to eat or drink here.
The restaurant inside also looked dirty.
Looking at Delish's reviews, I saw another review commenting on the dirty restaurant, so I am not the first!

We ordered blue cheese burger on ciabatta roll. The blue cheese was solid and old and the patty fell apart and was over cooked. Chips were also cold. Overall not impressed. Waiter was very friendly and efficient.

There was no electricity when we arrived, but we got our breakfast in good time. There was a trainee waitress with the other waitress, who was very shy, and we tried to put her at ease. My Eggs Benedict were very good, as was the Daddy Bear breakfast.
I went to the wine shop as it was open, but was told that they are not open, they were only receiving a delivery. The sign said they open from 11am............. and it was after 11am!

Delicious food and friendly staff. We ordered Calamari & wings , tasted really nice. Lamb curry was amazing and full of flavor. Anchovies pizza which also was amazing . A very nice place in a very quiet area but really worth to try.

My family and I stoped here on our way towards Plett as part of our garden route trip. There weren’t many other restaurant options and this place exceed my expectation. Everything we ordered was amazing and as a world travel I can highly recommend this place. We got the lamb curry, garden salad and vegan curry. Everything was perfectly cook and seriously delicious. Also my parents are very fussy when it come to coffee and they said they had great coffee as well. Enjoy!

We were so happy to find Delish. Always seen it driving past and never stopped. There is a lovely outdoor seating area with a playground. Delicious pizza, salad and coffees. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality ingredients and atmosphere.
