What a gem. I really didn't think Homespun could get any better but I am glad to say I have been proved wrong. The Tasting menu with wine pairing was a gartronomic delight and on a par with some of the best chefs in the world, Each course was beautifully presented and a feast to the eyes and served by a knowlegeable waitress. Homespun is a small intimate restaurant and while tastefully decorated it is simple, not over the top with all emphasis on the food. A great place for that special occasion and excellant value for money. I'm sure you won't be disappointed should you visit.

Although the portions were on the small side, the preparation and care taken with the dishes resounds in their quality.
Not for quick meals, a visit to the Homespun restaurant is an event, and should be celebrated with a special person.
The food is that good.

At last I could visit my favourite local restaurant last Thursday due to the lift of the lockdown ban for restaurants. What a beautiful experience to eat out again!! It was lovely to see Matt and his excellent team! The hospitality was superb and welcoming!! I ordered my favourite ostrich canapés which was delicious and creamy - packing a punch! The Malay squid was succulent and reminded me of the Bokaap flavours. Intense with that special mixture of South African flavours!! Yummy! Oh my the Matt special was a fillet steak cooked to perfection, juicy and soft. A lot of elements on the plate but all worked in harmony. A very clever dish and I enjoyed it. The brûlée was yummy! I loved the smoke under the dome which definitely create drama and a fantastic show! That is what restaurants are all about! Thank you beautiful people for a beautiful evening and it was splendid to see you all again!

Had the most spectacular dinner at Homespun. Service was outstanding - Matt & his team make you feel at home. The food..... Oh where to start I would simply not be able to choose my favourite dish. The handmade prawn dumpling and Matt's Special was mouthwatering.....Best part is the pricing. You will NOT regret ticking this off your bucket list (need to tick this off a few times for sure)

We've always had the best possible experience at Homespun, food, ambiance, service, but they exceeded themselves with the lockdown delivery menu. We expect the best quality from them, because that is what we usually get, but we've had such a fun and wonderful experience with the delivery, we can't decide if we shouldn't ask for a delivery every time..... Hmmm... No! We want to eat at Homespun whenever we can!

What a lovely evening. We enjoyed the ambiance, the fine dining food, the service and the chat with Matt the owner. Really worth the visit, not only for special occations. They are open for sit down post Covid now and in the winter weeks have great specials. We will definitely be back again to visit this local gem.

This place is absolutely awesome!
The Atmosphere is warm and friendly with a dark eclectic theme.
The staff are really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making customers happy is their main priority.
The food that Chef Matt & his team turn out is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths.
Big shout out to the bar staff. Excellent service and great cocktails.
For sure the best meal we've ever had in Blouberg.
Do yourself a favor and vist Homespun.
Booking is essential as this restaurant is very popular.
Highly recommend!

An experience that will be "Remembered for the next 21 years"
Our family of 4 visited Homespun to celebrate my son's 21 birthday and he said that he "Will remember the experience for the next 21 years". We opted for the tasting menu and we asked ourselves which one of the dishes were the best and after a long debate we agreed that they were all good in their own unique way. The presentation was excellent, the service was very good and the taste was out of this world. Even the Chef came to our table to check if everything was to our liking.
The prices were also reasonable considering what was on offer.
Well done, Homespun, you will definitely see us again soon.

A perfect place for an elevated unique dining experience. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Yes, of course the price is on a higher scale but so is the experience.
You are feeding your eyes, tastebuds and ears with the informative explanation by the waiters.

The Homespun fine dining experience for home delivery definitely works!
Quality ingredients, creative and superior packaging, paired with delicious flavours made for a thoroughly enjoyable romantic dinner at home.
Besides the stunning visual appeal of the boxed dinner, the real beauty is in the delicate combination of flavours in all 5-courses. Matt is really very talented to get the balance so perfectly on point.
We also loved the interactiveness which the 'plate it yourself' element brought to our Homespun Home Dinner experience last night! Matt's creativity knows no boundaries & he thinks of absolutely everything, right down to including chopsticks and a candle in the box of pure joy - the attention to detail is unsurpassed.
Highly recommended.

What a delightful evening at my favourite restaurant on the west coast!! The ambiance and sleek service made it again a memorable experience!! The ostrich canapés and ceviche were yummy! Intense flavours which definitely pack a punch. I have not eaten anything so delicious in a long while!! The smoked snoek samosa with rooibos apricot corn citrus show case the cape Malay cooking. This is sublime cooking in the true Homespun style! Big thank you to Matt and his beautiful dedicated team for a fantastic evening.

The service and the athmosphere were god, but I've been disappointed by the food.
I've chose the tasting menu to get to try more combinations.
I must say that the starter - the Caprese - good and far the best dish of the whole menu (excellent combination between the goat cheese and the beetroot).
I fund the rest very disappointed and not to the standard of fine dining.
The fish was dry and too salty, the crumb of the beef takami covered the taste of the meat which was tender, and none of the dessert were fine / sophisticated to me (I tried the chocolate torte, creme brulée and Pana cota).
I'm happy to have tried it to make my own opinion, but I will not come back or recommend it.

Unexpectedly great find! We had done some research and we’re so pleased to have found Homespun by Matt. 4 of us visited for a long overdue birthday celebration for my brother in law.
The restaurant is easy to miss on the outside, but once inside it was transformed by soft lighting and had very welcoming. atmosphere. The booths are extremely comfortable and we had great service from Tannah and the somalier.
The meal is quite theatrical - go for the 5 course tasting menu - you’ll be pleased you did! Wonderful presentation and very unusual dishes and palate cleansers! We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend it.

Our waitress and Matt the owner was very professional. We had a wonderful evening enjoying well thought through menu options. If ur into fine dining and explosion of flavours on ur palate, accompanied by the awakening of ur senses, thats ur restaurant to try. Also doesnt bankrupt ur wallet. Wonderful, familiar friendly restaurant. With an opulent decor. Thx Matt and staff♥️

Fantastic evening! Brilliant food and wines! The intense flavours in the Matt special definitely pack a punch! Beautifully presented.the humble milk tart has been transformed into an amazing sophisticated desert. Another stroke of genius! Matt you and your team definitely rock!! You guys moved fine dining to a different level. Pete the porn star martini cocktail was superb and took me back to London!!
