We were sad to see that Prim had to move to a smaller premises but judging by the fantastic food we enjoyed as delivered takeaway the reduced size has not reduced the tastiness of their food. As vegetarians we appreciate the range of options we can order. We will be visiting the new premises soon! Prim and The Indian Chapter Restaurant never disappoint us.

While looking for somewhere to have dinner, we drove past The Indian Chapter, and decided to have a look. It was early evening and the small restaurant was empty. We looked at the menu and it looked good. The Indian Chapter isn't licensed to sell alcohol, so we walked across to a nearby bottle store and returned with our drinks. Within a short while, the tables filled up, and it was lively. The hot curry was hot without being offensive and the mild curry was mild and both were full of the flavours expected in Indian food. The food was amazing and the service effective. Highly recommended.

The food was EXCELLENT and the service was good. Its a small little restaurant with an authentic feel but it is well worth the visit. This place has now became our favourite indian food scene in the Cape town area.

We were disappointed with our experience as we expected more given the recent accolades this restaurant received . The new location was a dingy takeaway 5 table restaurant. The portions were small , taste mediocre and price was in the medium/high range however we walked away feeling that we did not receive value for money.

Heard an insert on insert on KFM and thought this will be a great Sunday lunch. We ordered Lamb Madras and a Butter Chicken with rice ,butter and garlic Naan as a take away as we wanted sit at the beach and eat. The food came quickly and off we went. When picking up the rice container I could hear it rattling around ,sounded like hard peas ,the rice was ice cold and definitely from the night before. We then opened the naans ,took a bite and we could taste the rawness of the naan ...not very nice. So now we have curries but no rice or naan to eat with it. Looked in the bag for plastic cutlery as we ordered a take away....nothing in the bag ...not even napkins. We ended up going to the Engen quick shop to buy a loaf of bread to eat our curries. The curries were tasty but the over all experience wasn't pleasant

After hearing Prim Reddy talk on KFM we decided to go and support her restaurant in Blouberg, drove all the way from Stellenbosch. First impressions, weren’t great, the place looks a bit run down, and the inside definitely needs some attention, the plastic table cloths on the tables are dirty and you feel as if you don’t wat to touch anything, the starters came, and it was underwhelming, deep fried in dirty oil. The mains arrived, and was also average, the flat breads were good though, served out of chipped plates. And I had to go outside to grab some fresh air because I felt like I was suffocating from the kitchen fumes, really unpleasant to eat in a restaurant and it feels as if you are sitting in the middle of the kitchen and smelling like one when you get home. A bit disappointed.

Went here for lunch only to find that the food wasn't really that great. Have eaten at 5 different curry restaurants between Tokai and Blouberg and this is probably in 3rd place when it comes to flavour and value for money. The interior leaves a lot to be desired. The curry restaurant in Tokai is top of the list by a long way.

After a recent insert on KFM about the restaurant i was quite hyped to visit it, especially being a fan of indian cuisine. However I was quite disappointed when we arrived there, very limited space inside, tables were dirty as well as the glasses we received. The food was mediocre for the price we payed. Also very poor ventilation. Overall not a great experience.

We booked a table and were shocked to find a tiny shabby looking place that is not at all what is shown over the internet. It is definately not the same place and the food is nothing special at all. They dont even have a liquor license and you can only order cold drinks. Our first thought was to leave but we stayed out of pure decency. What a huge dissapointment.

So I dropped by to have a nice Sunday dinner and was surprised to find the place had given up apparently. Food was quite ok but the staff looked like they just walked in from the street and didn't quite know where they were. Sad to see a nice place deteriorating like this. Hope they can shape up since I have been coming here a long time.

Hi. I'm sad to hear that. My staff have been with me since I've opened & the quality of our food has never been compromised no our recipes changed. It's such a pity you didn't ask for me if have the manager address your concerns. I will definitely check camera footage & address the poor appearance of my staff. We always like to try settle something in house, the story to tell Is so much better. Please give us a call & leave your name & number or inbox me & we can address it together & change your perception. Prim Reddy

Got some take outs and the food was not great at all. In fact a checkers cook in sauce is a million times better. The place itself is dirty and run down and looks very unhygienic. Also found pieces of sponge in the one meal. Overpriced and gross. Never again

The curry was mild and tasty, just what we needed as we crave for Indian cuisine. At first we we're reluctant to order curries on the menu as we know its gonna be spicy hot, but after telling the owner that we wanted it mild it was tasty and just right, Lunch was served and we all enjoyed.

Best Indian dishes I have ever had. Quick service, bring your own whine and beers and just enjoy some of the better food I had in all of Cape Town

It seems this is a new venue that pales in comparison to the previous one. Covid victim. Food I had was great, would go again.

My husband surprised me with dinner at The Indian Chapter and we were both super excited as we have heard and read so much about it. We loved the fact that it was authentic looking, you know... golden plastic table cloths, Indian art on the walls etc. It felt like we were somewhere in India. We had a lovely waitress named Stephanie and her knowledge of the menu was amazing. With so much to choose from we had to ask 1000 questions especially my husband eating no meat, we wanted to be sure that we got all the flavors. I had the Chicken Madras (Prim Reddy recommended) with a coconut & raisin naan (oh my hat!!!!) and my husband had the Yellow Dhal with garlic naan. Although the dhal was very tasty, it was a bit runny for our tasting, but obviously the way it should be, so we ordered rice with it. We were surprised by the lovely Prim Reddy herself, who gives her all in this restaurant and really runs this place solo. The staff wants to make sure you are happy with your food and will bend backwards to guarantee satisfaction. Best part of the night was that we had leftovers and could experience all of this the next day at home.... thank you Prim & team...xxx
