This place is right on the Main street and has a real working brewery. We talked with Vincent the brew master and he explained everything to us. My wife ordered pizza - from a woodfired pizza oven - very good with excellent crust. I ordered...Eisbein - given my Bavarian roots - and was surprised by the good quality and taste, especially the most important part - the crispy crust! And this in the middle of Africa! Thanks to the many German tourist! Beer was of course very good.More

It is exceptionally well priced. The serving area is nice and open and the service is friendly and all questions are answered. The test platter is a good place to start and it comes with snacks. Left with a few bottles of brew. The Rooinek...Cider is great. This is now a local for the folks so looking forward to my next visit to Sabie and the Brewery.More

We had a simple but tasty meal with our kids. The decor was very beautiful and amazing views. I’m not a beer drinker but I’ve been told the craft beer is amazing, Unfortunately there was no pizza on the day, so menu was limited. Nevertheless...our meal was great. Will definitely visit again.More

On arrival at the Sabie Brewing Co. I was met with an empty restaurant and 3 or 4 very friendly waitresses. I ordered a beer tasting board and chicken mayo sandwich. Sitting outside offers a wonderful view of the mountains. The beer arrived with a...side of bread sticks (nice touch) and the waitress explained the beer tasting then left me to enjoy. Before I knew it, my food arrived. A large portion of well-cooked fries, a flavourful toastie, and a side salad. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the beers. I got a slice of the their stout chocolate cake to go. It was a "door stop", and rather delicious. Fantastic location, friendly staff, and great value for money! I will be back :)More

I’ve been in South Africa for almost 2 weeks and this is the second decent beer I’ve had. The beef burger and the view are pretty good, too.

Besides the beer tasting which was fine, food is rubbish.. Pizza at R100 looked like a kiddies pizza in size and was ready in 5 minutes ( possibly a ready made one ).. Cheese platter at R140 was also below par. Only had one roll...(cut up) , no biscuits and dry cranberries also cut up in a million pieces...More

We visited for lunch on a recent vacation and had a mixed reaction from our group of friends. I loved the décor and the vibe of the restaurant and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend trying their flight to try all the beers (priced at...R70) - they have some interesting options like Monkey-berry Ale and Berry Cider. Sadly we were all disappointed by the pizzas - they were extremely thin base with minimal toppings - kind of felt ripped off, like we were only given half our pizzas. Perhaps the other food options are better, but we all ordered pizzas so I can only comment on those.More

Went there on Saturday the 7th, the food was great, as were the drinks, sadly the service didn’t match, waited forever for a waiter to come and take orders. When orders were taken, and the drinks were brought, the drinks were spilt all over the...table, and over the phones on said table ( my phone is already acting up) , the clean up we done ourselves with tissues, as the waiter took his time on that as well. What felt like a whole afternoon later, food eventually arrived, which was great! Food served with NO cutlery , NO salt/ pepper & NO serviettes. Eventually left after paying, with remains of drinks all over the table & floorMore

Happened upon the brewer tour. Decided to do it on the spur of the moment, and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was intimate, interesting, and the beer was delicious. Cant recommend this establishment more! Thanks Peter for the tour!
