We spent a week in Albion and visited this place due to our host's recommendation.
Meals were well-prepared and the service was kind and quick.
You should definitely ask for a delicious tuna steak (not in the menu)
We had a dinner with a group of friends last weekend. The location is great and easy to find in Albion right next to dodo store, you can't miss it and the restaurant is very cozy and so are the staffs. The food was a...bit disappointing, nothing much. The fries that was served as side was salty and over cooked and it looked like they fried the bottom of the packet, where there were only tiny bits. However, it is very affordable! We enjoyed our night there!More
Clevio and his staff are doing so many things right. La Murene ranked equal first with Rib and Reef in Flic n flac for best restaurants we ate at in Mauritius.
The first night My wife had the Local specialty chicken Curry which was great,...I had one of the tastiest and certainly the tenderest steaks I have had anywhere in the world. superb.
I eat a lot of steak and this came medium rare, cooked perfectly. Could have just used the fork to cut it. On the second night, my wife had the Tuna which came out as Clevio suggested "Rose" and was beautifully cooked and really tasty. I thought I would have a change and tried the Lamb and though it was a good choice and very tasty not quite as tender as the steak, The staff were excellent and the service very good. Would highly recommend.More
This great jewel in Albion with it humble setting is the best kept secret. The best authentic, tasty food during our trip in Mauritius. Extremely good value for money and the service is provide with a smile. Be prepared to spend time and drink in...the local vibe.More
We had tuna - rather soggy - and steak - tough and chewy
Atmosphere is more like a cheap roadside cafe than a restaurant, and the video promoting some dolphin trip made it seem even more tacky - this was not a good place to...eat and we didn’t return even though we stayed around the corner for a weekMore
