Not only was De Groene Kat welcoming and with a good choice of cakes, but the coffee was fine and the place clean. The owner was chatty, friendly and was really helpful with directions. Maybe not the best location in town and I was a little concerned at leaving a car with suitcases but all was ok.

We have been to this place for years when we did volunteer work in the area. 'De Groene Kat' (I always told the staff that in the Netherlands this place would be called 'De Groene Poes' which means something completely different in Afrikaans) is a small cafe next to the Spar supermarket and they offer good coffee, cakes and small meals. Very suitable for husbands when their wives are doing the shopping next door.

What a nice setting in the Spar mall. The food are well prepared and the service good. The breakfast are great. There are a variety of cakes available and well worth a visit.I will recommend it.

Neat Shop, Friendly Owner, but Cupcakes and Coconut Koeksistes I purchased as a takeaway were stale and terrible. I feel she could have mentioned this when I bought them, we traveled to the next town to enjoy with family What a disappointment when we tried them. Too far to return them and the shop was closed when we discovered this

Coffee were very good..and the shop is friendly..and i got the most amazing few minutes i were there this place is amazing for breath taking..and family breakfast..and they sweats❤is out of this world..

The cake always brings us back.
Atmosphere is marred slightly by the traffic to the grocery store next door, & the shops on the other side. But. I guess convenience & lots of parking makes up for it.

The best home industry I have bought from. Freshly baked sweet and salt snakcs, cakes, rusks, cookies and sweets. Our daugthers usually stock up their cookie bins whenever visiting us.
