Good place to go if stopping over in Piura. Always busy, but makes for a good atmosphere, and the chicken sandwiches and juices are a good boost after a night bus. Would recommend to the hungry traveller!

I love this spot and have been many times. Great ice cream and other desserts, friendly staff, and convenient location.

Granted it's pricey at S/ 20 for a burger with the works (bacon, col slaw, cheese, egg) but it's big enough to share and comes with fries. Their "cremoladas" (frozen drinks) come in a multitude of fresh fruit flavors, as do their creamy ice creams.

Don't expect tasty ice cream, it was hard to tell the difference between the different coloured portions. Disappointing. No wifi, and for a small ice cream cup you pay 12 Soles, for the big one 20. I'd say it's overpriced

Called in for a quick snack. (Fruit salad with icecream). Good range of fruit and icecream. Plenty of locals seem to thing its pretty good as there is always lots of patrons. I struggled to find places in Piura I actually wanted to eat at.

I have went to this place a couple times but only because there where no ice cream places around where I was. Although the ice cream may look good, the portions that they get you are cruel. But if there is nowhere else to go, I guess you could go, but it’s just like a Freindlys just really overpriced for small portions. Also you have to wait what seems like hours for someone to wait on your table.

A value for money breakfast. Right at the centre of Piura. Well served for the cost of the breakfast and snacks served. Delicious!

Although the locals appear to love the place the cakes are terrible. We asked a Maracuya(Passion Fruit) Cheesecake and there was a strong sense of an artificial flavour around. Couldn't simply eat it. Rarely happens to me.

Set in a beautiful historic plaza. This place is really nice especially after crossing the desert from Trujillo. Very clean and fast attentive service. Really good stop for Coffee desert or lunch.

We stumbled on this ice cream parlour/café by chance and we were so glad we did! The ice cream is simply amazing, I had a pistachio + gianduja ice cream which was the best ever and was very reasonably priced. The place is very nicely decorated in retro style and the staff is very attentive and efficient. The only downside is that we were in Piura only for a day and therefore did not have the opportunity to go back.

Great fruit frozen drinks called "cremoladas". Delicious flavours as mango, strawberry, grape, watermelon, etc. The best for the hot temperatures. My family and I go everytime we can! Good sandwiches and cakes too. The only thing missing is wifi. There are 3 stores near one to another. If you can´t find the flavour you want, maybe the next "Chalan" has it!

I always come, everything is so fresh and tasty in this place. Everytime I visit piura, chalan is my first stop, sometimes right after getting off the plane. They have desserts and light meals.

Just wanted to have a snack. The juice was really good but the peach cake was a bit dry. It would've been nice if they had wifi.

At the central plaza there is the Chalan, one of the oldest and typical restaurants at Piura. You can go and expect a quick and efficient service, eat "butifarras" (highly recommended) and nice cremoladas (like frozen fruit drinks). You can go either to have lunch or just an ice-cream. There are multiple locations of the Chalan, but the best one is at the plaza.
