Regional cuisine of very good preparation and using fresh ingredients. The seasoning is not very aggressive, so those of us who do not live in Piura can taste it without problems, you can ask for the level of spiciness you want, even without spiciness. The dishes with goat and grouper are spectacular.

Very good food and traditional décoration (Adobe walls…) but very bad service. Just two persons to serve a lot of people and the worst of all were when we asked for WIFI the answer were not but in fact we discovered later that they had not one but two !😤.

I tried a Lot of others restaurants of local cuisine here in the city of piura. This is by far the best, great atention, not overpriced, great food. I tried the tacu tacu tomasita. The best tacu tacu ever. Go give it a try!

The truth is that I am disappointed with this place, to bring rocoto the waitress with glasses and the cashier are sexist and discriminatory, it is my sister's birthday and they treated us with all possible hatred and they do not want to give us the names, the service is terrible and my mother is disabled, they discriminated her too, do not go and if they can close the restaurant better

La tomasita was a cute little local restaurant with amazing food. My favorite dish we had was the tacu tacu de pescado. It’s a delicious rice and bean patty with fish on the side, all smothered in a fantastic fish sauce. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I ate it. Seriously so good and authentic!

Stop at La Tomasita for lunch on our way to Chiclayo. We had ceviche mixto, cabrito and tamalito verde. Everything was good and our waitress was very nice. Would recommend this as one of the spots to stop and have regional northern food.

Visited La Tomasita for lunch, we were a group of six and we were quickly assigned a table. The place looked clean and neat. Restaurant was comfortable, not noisy. We ordered local dishes, which were all good. Plates felt small compared to other local restaurants. We enjoyed a nice lunch. I would go back.

Fresh Ceviche, my recommendation as well is to try the ceviche de Concha Negra, (Black Clam).
The Arroz con Mariscos as well is really well prepared.
Prices are OK, ambient is wooden, air conditioned and the staff is really nice.
Restaurant counts con free Wifi.

There are combinations you can ask for, and taste all the region flavors: Seco de Chavelo, Majado de Yuca, Carne Aliñada, Tamalitos Verdes, etc. The restaurant is located three blocks from the plaza de armas (main park of the city).

Given the high prices (starters and mains mainly between PEN 30 - 40 or higher) we have expected by far better quality. We ordered Ceviche and Causa de Cangrejo which were both ok but not great. We had great experience with Ceviche and Causa in Lima - nevertheless, we had high expectations as the North of Peru is also well known for its good seafood. The locals we spoke to also confirmed that this restaurant is really overpriced.

It's mostly a local food restaurant, so if you're looking forward to getting a taste of Peruvian cuisine this is definitely a good place to do so...
If you want something a little spicy try the " tacu tacu " which is basically "arroz Moro" (Cuban) but spicy as I said, but not to much anyway.
Everything I've tried from the menu it's been good so far, also the prices are ok, so basically you get what you pay for!
