Nice restaurant with plenty of locals, Bavarian flavor , huge portion nice white beer price at ok ,

Miesbach is such a nice little town filled with colorfully painted traditional Bavarian houses. The restaurant is located at the delightfully cozy market square (Marktplatz). It has a large dining room and plentiful seating outside on the sidewalks. The food (typical Bavarian restaurant fare) is good -- the Schweinebraten (roast pork) has flaky, crunchy skin. Yum! The WeiĂźwurst was also good. The service was prompt. However, when I asked to exchange the cabbage salad that came with the roast pork for a green salad, my request was denied. It wasn't that the restaurant did not allow substitution; instead, I was told it was too late to do so even though I made the request as soon as the plates were placed on the table and I have not touched the food.

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice dinner here. She had a small green salad that she loved along with wiener wurst. The cheerful waitress helped her select a lovely white wine. I had a schweinswurst with white cabbage that I enjoyed with Dunkles Weisbier.
We will eat here again during our stay in Miesbach.

Ban everything except sausages. Fish was deepfrozen/unfrozen disgusting. One of us was sick the whole night.

Bräuwirt is the heart of Miesbach. Located in the center of town it's easy to reach. They serve typical Bavarian food and local beer. The staff is dressed in traditional local clothing which adds a nice twist to it. Staff is very attentative but be prepared to have your travel dictionary ready as their English skills are not very strong. Good chance to work on your German skills (however the menu is in English too).

Located in the heart of Miesbach, "Bräuwirt" is a traditional Bavarian inn with its own butcher shop. They offer typical Bavarian dishes at good value for money, and the service is very friendly and flexible. Occassionally they have live music which gives the experience a special touch. The fact that there is a mix of young and mid-age people proves that they offer good quality for everybody's taste.

We have been here several times before and have never been disappointed. It's just great to sit outside and enjoy the typical Bavarian food and the local beer (Hopf Weisse). If the weather doesn't cooperate to eat inside is just as nice.
