Great food in an unexpected place

After a bumpy 2km ride over a dirt road to the Ribamar Camping, we had dinner at the restaurant attached to the campsite and were pleasantly surprised. They were very attentive and helpful; the paella was amazing (no idea if it was authentic but I don't care) and the wine good. We wen't a second time and had grilled dishes and it was as great as we had hoped.

Great food, great service

Beautiful location, excellent food and great service. We arrived before the kitchen opened and the waiter said we would have to wait 1/2 hr for food but came back to us straight away and took our order and said it’s possible to eat now. Food excellent.

The surroundings are fabulous, the food is excellent, the only downside is the access, but you have to keep in mind that it is a forest road and it is a very short stretch in which you drive on land. The food surprised us for the better, we ordered a Señoret rice and it was 10, natural preparation with lots of squid presented with whole peeled prawns undercooked with a sea flavor... the point of perfect rice. We also ordered as a starter a salad with goat cheese, pumpkin seeds with a good dressing and some different bravas potatoes, very tasty with tomato confit and a touch of grilled meat. The campsite is very neat, it looks well maintained. We will repeat.

Good but could improve

My partner and I went with a gourmet smartbox; Being that description I thought it was something else, another place with more charm... and hence my score. To get there you have to go along a dirt road. They served me a somewhat hot Rioja. I would remove the couple of starters they put (beef fingers and 2 croquettes) and put a Ribera del Duero at a good temperature. Next we had a beef tataki which I will say was good, a vegetable Ratatouille which turned out to be some grilled vegetables, some charred, and finally sirloin and ribeye, good and just right. Good desserts.. especially the goat cheese cake. Anyway... don't look at a gift horse in the mouth, but even though we left full, there were a few things that should improve. Greetings!

All-round successful evening with fine food and warm service

There were two of us for dinner and the waiter gave us a very friendly welcome. Our chosen dishes, pimentos, Andalucia squid rings and grilled squid, were perfect and very well seasoned. The waiter and the kitchen staggered the courses very well so that the food was always nice and warm. We were recommended sangria to go with it. That's not always our thing, but this one wasn't too sweet, the alcohol was moderate but it was nice and fruity and was so good that we ordered a second one. As we didn't want dessert, he recommended a carachjillo, which we hadn't heard of before but immediately grew to love. For us, this was an all-round successful evening with very friendly service that we will fondly remember.

Great paella

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch here with friends yesterday, and shared the excellent seafood & Valencian paella, both packed with flavour and tasty ingredients. The restaurant has a pleasant sunny terrace overlooking the pool & Mauro looked after us all so well, a lovely guy and great fun. Can also recommend the desserts, chocolate gateau & especially the home-made cheesecake. Great outdoor ambience. There is parking or you can walk here through the natural park from Alcossebre.

Best grilled meat in the area

In a camping area it is quiet difficult to reach because of the road but it is worth to go and experience the best grilled meat. I tried the picanha and oh my god 😱 it was so delicious so tender oh my dear it is melting in your mouth. Beef ribs and steak is also very delicious! Must try this place!

100% recommendable I found this place by chance and it was a success, we were surprised by both the food and the service, accompanied by an atmosphere surrounded by nature. It was the perfect combination. If you pass through Alcossebre, don't hesitate to go and try it.

Normal/regular food and service more of the same

Service somewhat slow and a little disorganized. Maybe because of tiredness or a bad day in particular. The rice with secret and mushrooms was good but we expected it to have a little more flavor after reading the reviews. Also, something stopped craving the salad…

Craving meat

I was craving meat even though I eat very little of it and I wasn't disappointed, it had a very good taste of grilled meat. And the little honey sauce was simply delicious, I really enjoyed it. Not to mention the top-notch service. The staff listens to the customer. I will go back 😍.

Everything is delicious, the bravas are a spectacle in the mouth, the artichokes in tempura are very well done, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the secret rice with mushrooms and foie, very successful. All this in a natural setting such as the Sierra de Irta. In short, a 10. We will return for sure!

Absolutely amazing!

Fantastic food, with fantastic service. There is an excellent selection of dishes. Also vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. The staff are extremely friendly, hard-working and attentive. We have eaten here several times. Homemade cakes, burgers, fish, ribs and paella are highly recommended. Thank you for the outstanding restaurant, which is part of a great campsite on an impressive coastline. Worth a trip!!

Family meal

This past Sunday we went there with some family members, everything was 10👏👏 Senyoret rice, foie rice, mushrooms and spectacular Iberian secret and the delicious starters... bravas potatoes😋, homemade Iberian ham croquettes😋, torreznos with compote😋 and poached egg, with slcschofas, truffle and foie and potato parmentier😋 And an assortment of desserts👏🎉🎉

Highly recommended both for the food and the surroundings in the Sierra de Irta Natural Park. We ate some very delicious tapas and black rice that couldn't be better. Well served portions and unbeatable price. We will return for sure.

Misleading rating

Following the positive opinions on this website and its high rating, we decided to go to eat and what a mistake. Cobblestone road that destroys car, paper tablecloth, we made a reservation and they put us anywhere, there was none left of the variety of pizzas, the grilled meat that appears as a specialty was hard and dry and we had to remind them that we had ordered it, the dessert What we ordered, they didn't serve it to us and they wanted to charge us for it without having taken it, average service... in short, I don't understand the ratings they have.
