Gaudir still top notch!

I reviewed Gaudir last year but can’t see any more recent reviews so here is my update. Gaudir continues to offer sophisticated food at great value prices. This time I had the set lunch menu. The typical menu del dia in Alcossebre is priced at €12.50 and offers great value l. The menu del dia at Gaudir is €15. I made my choices then the waiter explained that you get all 4 starters plus a main and dessert! I photographed each course and even the bread and olive oil was exceptional quality. My only slight negative was the one of my 4 starters was a savoury bruschetta but piled onto a sweet biscuit . Everything else was perfect. I’m going again this week and will update with any new dishes.

We had lunch on December 27 and took the "menu navidad" of 35 euros per person. This included 3 starters, 1 main course and dessert. The service was very good and cared for, as were the dishes served. It is a must for those who like to taste local products with a gastronomic twist. Price quality is everything fine!

Restaurant with good cuisine but the place leaves a lot to be desired. I've been twice this summer. We enjoyed dinner Twice, the entries are varied and very good. I would highlight that due to an error when ordering, they suggested a tuna sirloin which we ordered and then they brought us beef sirloin but there was no problem and they changed it quickly. Everything was fine that night. Only the Table is next to the window where an air conditioning pipe runs down and drops splashed on my back, for a restaurant like this this should not happen. The second night, a week later we booked for 3 and they gave us a tiny table for two people. There was no room for the glasses...and hardly even the plates... I solved it with two assistants but for the inri… the The table is at the entrance of the restaurant, where everyone passes by... in the end we had some appetizers for dinner in an uncomfortable way... they bothered us. The night well we were not Comfortable. In short, an experience that goes to waste because we want to take advantage of the space... it's a shame because they have good cuisine but in these conditions we will NOT return... so it was NOT recommended in August...

Truly awful experience

Food ok, nice wine list but the worst service I have ever encountered anywhere. Towards the end of the meal I ordered a final glass of red wine (say 4€) which tasted funny to me. I bought this to the attention of the staff who disagreed, didn’t replace the wine or refund the cost and after discussion told me not to come back! Wow. A 400€ lunch ruined. They need not worry I won’t be back and nor should anyone else.

Great discovery, 100% x 100% recommended, very delicious and quality food, excellent service and a very nice place. Many people go to the beachfront but even if you don't have the beach next to it, I recommend that you leave the first line To have something but to eat, this restaurant has surprised us very well. We have fallen in love with this restaurant, spectacular place, the food has been wonderful, we have enjoyed each dish very much… everything was 10. The service was impeccable… and Dani, one of the waiters, had the most beautiful detail that we had never seen before in any other restaurant! We really enjoyed a unique meal!

Disgraceful, the treatment by the manager (according to what the owner said, very excessive) was unacceptable, a liar and not at all professional, a mindundi, the table was flooded with water and he said, "If you want, okay, and if not, come, I'll mop once and no more." . It was nice in terms of service. The location not gréât and it’s kind of like being in a half tent half concrete room, food a bit expensive for what it was but pleasant enough.came down with Covid three days later. Maybe nothing to do with it?

We have a holiday home in Alcossebre. Delighted when we noticed a new kid on the block. Many recommendations. Absolutely delicious each visit. whilst at our home in April absolutely disappointed. We didn’t particularly like the menu, my fish arrived very undercooked and almost cold as was starter. I informed the waiter, he apologised and took it away. I was rather shocked my fish was returned reheated. I ate it although bland. € 24 absolutely disappointing. Re heating fish is s no. My Husband enjoyed his meal. I’m not sure if a new chef. Definitely will not return.

Very nice place with excellent recommendations for the wine and the food selection, it is a bit of the beaten track but that is nice as well so not so touristy.. Wine recommendations are superb and feel free to let you be guided by the personnel who know their wines very well

Where do I start, an absolute gem on the outskirts of alcossebre. Amazing and friendly service! Food was delicious and there was an extensive menu with lots of choice. Can’t fault it at all! Our favourite meal of the holiday!

Delicious tasting menu great value €35

We had the tasting menu here last week and it was lovely. I agree with another reviewer about the house wine - the white is from Castellon and it is excellent. The presentation of the food is top notch and the staff are charming and efficient. They were busy, it was hot, but those elegant dishes kept on coming. I slightly prefer the food at Atalaya but this is my second favourite for elegant modern cooking in Alcossebre. Looking back at the photos I am slightly embarrassed to have eaten all those courses - but they were not huge and were pretty light.
